Do you feel like Jules had a down year? Towards the end of the season I saw a lot of little mistakes that seemed unlike him.

It's possible he might have put unnecessary pressure on himself to make plays and ended up making uncharacteristic mistakes instead. Jules needs to regroup, maybe add about 10-15 lbs of muscle, and exert his will physically on guys next year.

I was thinking it was a lot of pressure taking over the attack. He was big man on the attack line and looked like he was trying to do too much this year. I had the same problem early with my two junior attackmen. They both were trying to do too much because they felt it was their responsibility to make big plays.

I think he is having a good year. He isn't the Tewwaraton winner, but he is close to 50 points. That's pretty awesome for any attackman.

Jules was bigger and stronger this year. As happens, looks like he has thinned out during the season. Hard to keep gains in throws of a lacrosse season. He was better this year than he was last year, no question. He is the leader of that attack unit. No question.

Mullins had a great year. An incredible freshman year. He was also the recipient of all of the attention that Jules gets. Jules drew the number 1 guy all season, and was even shut off in a couple of games. That opened up the field for the Murphy (who is finishing very strong) and Mullins. Even so, he still is producing.

My guess is if we made the B1G tournament, he would be on the list. I still think he makes honorable mention AA. Which in mind, he is very deserving of.

I also think Casey Rose and Kyle Pless deserve a strong look. Those kids have been awesome for us. And only sophomores. Whenever I write posts like this I can't help but think of the future this team has. We have a team full of great kids who work their asses off. Big things are here.

This team is going to have so many weapons next year, and the year after it is insane. I honestly do not know how defenses can play us. We will be able to score from midfield or attack with multiple players. I am really excited to see Jules, AC, and Mullins together next year.

Wouldn't be totally shocked to see Mullins run a little midfield while the freshman from Georgia gets a little run. From a stylistic standpoint, that kid would fit in well too.

Brian's biggest challenge will be what combinations to put together. We are going to have a ton of options that's for sure.

There are weapons all over the place. We could almost run two offensive midfield lines and two defensive lines with what we have coming back and in. With a couple of attack added to the rotation. Biggest question is who takes Groel's spot on D.

Thought that overall Francisco had a very good year. He was the key to our win over OSU. Had a great game against the Terps. Gave us every opportunity to win it late in regulation & in OT. Those games were against top face off guys. Thought Henenberg was forcing it most of the year & as a result could be sloppy. Anxious to see him with our big Canadian & others next year. Mullins was exceptional. Late against OSU he had two open looks in close & missed the cage both times. Was afraid that the pressure was getting to him, especially in view of his getting shut out at PSU. Great to see him nail the winner. Will restore his confidence & he will play loose again if we move on. The win will also restore the team's confidence & make us tough to handle. Rexrode & Edelman were great all year. Also really like Kyle Pless a lot. Not only a fine athlete, but very poised as well for a young guy.

Pless is a groundball machine, and very active one on one. Francisco had a great year. Much better than thought going into the season. It positions us well for next year. Hopefully his understudy can spell him a little more. I know we have a fogo coming in, as well. Shoen should be back too, as I heard he wasn't playing football any longer.

Jules had a lot on his shoulders. He lost his running mate and was playing with two new guys. It's hard to build chemistry on the fly like that. They collectively had a really good year, especially considering the unknowns right before the season and after the injury.

So ....

MD 6
OSU 5
JHU 4
PSU 3
RU 3
UM 0

Only see 10 on 2nd team ... team is on the way up and looks B1G strong next year!
