Very interesting matchup between these two teams.
These will be the key player matchups today.
Rutgers has won their last two trips to College Park, hopefully they can make it a third. This is a tricky opponent they are playing today. Maryland has a very good defense. If Rutgers doesn't contain Jahmir Young, then Maryland will win this game.

Can't be J Will on Young, at least not to start out the game... unless Pike changes the starting lineup. Simpson or Davis can't guard Geronimo at 6'6 225 lbs
Game Plan: Get behind by 5 early. Then 10. Let it stretch to 15 before the half. Then see if we can make it up in the 2nd half by playing decent basketball.
Correct. Simpson or Davis need to guard Young, and unfortunately that means our best perimeter defender will have to play either of the two worst offensive players in MD's starting lineup (Geronimo or Harris-Smith).
That said, I wonder if Pike will have JWill attempt to guard Scott at times. He would be giving up 3 inches and 30 pounds, but Scott is their best 3-pt shooter, so maybe JWill can take away Scott's perimeter game.

Just walked into the XFinity Center, where Rutgers faces Maryland in an hour. Veteran guard Austin Williams, listed as questionable, is in street clothes and not warming up, so appears he is OUT today. He played just three minutes against Michigan on Saturday.
Mawot Mag and Emmanuel Ogbole, the other two players listed as questionable, are dressed and going through warm ups. -- BF

Yes for example they played Michigan state 2 out of last 3 games. At Maryland they gave up 2 offensive boards at Michigan State they gave up 12
Nice start - love seeing Cliff hit that 16 footer - he has been hitting more of them lately...
He's better at that than back to the basket if he doesn't get deep post position
