I have to agree. About to start real BIG10 play here and I think it's fair to say that besides Derkack, no one has contributed anything of value.

We just are not a good team and this year will go down as an epic failure. We have 2 great players and thats it. I would not be shocked at all if we are better the next few years when Pike can coach how he wants. We will never sniff a top 10 player again.

He has no clue how to adjust his style to this team. He wants to play slow and methodical and win with D and rebounding, not Offense

Bailey had a couple of misses that i'd put just outside of layups.

Jordan had a chance for an and-1 but missed the bunny

Dylan is impressive. I still don't see us trying to get Bailey in good spots. I don't want to see catch and shoot 20 footers (he made it).

Recruiting the 2 best players is one thing coaching them not to break down and mental mistakes equals NCAA’s and sweet 16’s
If Pike doesn’t star coaching boxing out, defensive rotations, floor personnel and allowing Harper to get some assists spread the floor allow for some 3 point opportunities
This season is doomed

Defense relies on practice, reps, communication, etc ... And benefits a lot from year-to-year carryover of culture and concepts. We are mostly starting from scratch this year, which is a steep hill to climb against more experienced and more disciplined teams.
