So who is staying up to 3am Friday?

I'll give the old school boy try. Depends on score at half. If blow out, I will switch om the DVR

It’s a trap game for RU, sandwiched between the spectacular ‘almost’ victory against 1-5 UCLA and looking forward to the sure non-loss next weekend.

The team may be overlooking USC and sleepwalk through this one.

Work wouldn't have made a difference to me... used to sleep a lot less when I worked lol...
Well, that wasn’t well advised. Either way, I don’t care about this game much. I hope people can call me out about that on Saturday morning, but I doubt it.

How is this a question? I’ll watch HS football then come home and watch this. Then I’ll wake up at 7am for HS practice. Be home around 12 and watch games until 3 am on Saturday night. Do you people not watch west coast games on Saturdays?

I will certainly watch until the end regardless of outcome. Check out my avatar. Probably won't even need a nap.

I will be out there. We will go early to USC campus early afternoon, even though World Series traffic will be in the opposite direction. Will still be a late night, and hopefully Uber drivers available after game if both finish at similar times.

IDK how people watch a game knowing the results, I've tried and end up fast forwarding through most of it. I'll watch as long as we have a chance to win. Nap during the day is likely, which is not uncommon after a Friday lunch out w/ the wife.
I'm assuming you've been to Cinco de Mayo on West, but if you haven't, give it a whirl - our favorite Mexican in the entire region, if not NJ (at least the dozen or so places we've tried). We also finally got in to Chef Vola's in AC this past trip - the veal chop parm was worth the hype and everything else was great too.

It's pretty easy to avoid the score if you can't watch live.
Nearly every basketball game I record and watch later.
Did that with the scrimmage last week because of the Mets game.

My plan is to go check out the Halloween party at Spicy Cantina which I believe starts at 9 and then watch the game there. I am hoping between the game and checking out the costumes I stay awake.

Exactly why I stopped eating veal many, many years ago.
I think this is pretty common... people stopping eating it. many decades ago at this point, I used to see veal options on menus everywhere. Including that delicious veal parm mentioned above... even in pizza places.

Not so today. As much as I loved it, when I see it on a menu I read it as "tortured baby cow parm".

And when I see "dolphin-safe tuna" claim on a can of tuna I think.. has it ever gone the other way and read "Now with more Dolphin!"

I was gonna post about staying up but then I see this took the usual turn into something completely unrelated.

I'll even suggest a segue, which is to discuss what sort of food one should eat at 3am, now that Greasy Tony's is long gone. Are there any fast food veal restaurants?

Oh man. Imagine the season turned out like we hoped.
7-0 Rutgers v 7-0 USC
Battle of Top 20 teams

We win at 3am.
As a student, flood out of the bars and hit the Grease Trucks.
That would have been a great night back in school.

Yeah, but then what would we have left to complain about? Lack of a solid 5 on the MBB team perhaps?

That would've been great.

But beating USC to take us to 2-3 and 5-3, considering how many starters are either out or playing at way less than 100%, will still be pretty great. And as long as the team doesn't give up, I think they'll get better as the less experienced players gain more game reps. Getting a win will help keep them from giving up.

Finding a way to get to a second consecutive bowl game is probably pretty key to recruiting. So at this point, any win, no matter how ugly, is a good thing.

I mean, yeah, now that you mention it. 🙂

Having watched the St. John's game, that does have me a little bit concerned for the upcoming season. But that's a discussion for another sub-forum.

You can always bring it back from Mexican food and veal cruelty, Dennis. There's still time.
I'm gonna kill two birds with one stone. I'll take a leftover 10mg Prednisolone tab and stay up till 3am Sunday morning AND completely lose my appetite.
