Might as well post it for your rooting interests.

Brian Fonseca put out an article earlier this week, credit to him I took that and then narrowed down the actual list of you want to follow along.

Basically there are 2 “up for grabs” spots available for 5-7 teams at or below us in APR (the rest of the spots are already claimed by 6-win teams and also 5-win teams with APR better than us)

So, besides us beating Maryland (1 spot), only 1 other team on this list can win - yes, if 2 teams or more win on this list we lose out. So long long odds at all but still, a chance:

Vandy, Auburn, FAU, UAB, UTEP, Ga Southern, Buffalo, Southern Miss, Louisiana Lafayette, Iowa State, Army, UNLV

12 teams, plus us, fighting for 2 spots, where any 2 teams that win on this list would bump us out (due to either getting to 6 wins, or getting to 5 wins like us but being higher in APR - ISU, Army, UNLV)

5-7 bowl game this year would just suck.

Last year it was awesome because it was a good bowl game against a good opponent in a situation where you wanted to see seniors rewarded for the years of BS they dealt with.

No thanks this season. Screams small time.

Disagree. Schiano threw away the season by playing Gavin in hopes of building for the future. In that effect 15 more practices would be so important. He’d be a hypocrite to not take a game even if against a CUSA team

I would imagine that we would be a very attractive candidate since we sell out all our games so meeting our ticket allotment commitment would not be a problem.

Not sure though, they’d probably be scared all of our fans would list their tickets on StubHub for the other team to buy

You seriously think a guy with a rebuilt throwing hand, or another guy that has proven he’s not the man gave us BETTER CHANCES TO WIN than GAVIN?!

If Wimsatt actually led us to a win your argument would be stronger although admittedly he did not play against our weaker opponents. He did look good against MSU but they are not good this year. If stats matter Simon's are better. Simon's issues seem mostly decision making which can usually improve with reps where Wimsatt has shown accuracy and touch issues which are harder to correct. Simon should at least get a few series on Saturday.

What happened to our APR? Was that a casualty of the transfer portal?
