Defense horrific. Payne a career day. Bizarre substitutions - extended Woolfolk really? Hyatt in to start the second half instead of Mag. Allowed Simpson to take last shot in first balf.. Outcoached.
This was a game we had to have, and now puts us into an impossible must win situation Thursday.

Agree that Pike was bad today. Wolf’s minutes are head scratching. But winning @Purdue is not a requirement. Would be huge, but we still have chances to win at Nebraska and at Wisconsin.

It’s really gotta be 7-1 for a no doubter. And winning six in a row … yeah, I don’t see it.

Esp head scratching in that he hasn’t played.

End of the day we didn’t have enough guys step up. Not sure we had anyone offer a good two-way performance today.

Yes, fair to critique some of Pike’s rotations (Woolf getting extended run being the most egregious) — but just not enough guys played up to the task on the road

Give Coach Johnson credit.

Jeremiah was a non factor.

Minnesota adjusted to Cliff in H2.

They controlled the pace of the game

And upgraded their roster well

Not Best game from Pike.

Going to Wolf time and time again was nauseating.

Like so many other losses on our Coach. At times he looks totally lost out there.
The BS play to end the 1st Half was a 4 point swing.. who the he## designed that?

I give Johnson tons of credit. Completely outcoached pike in every way.

Woolfolk was useless...again. Cliff made Payne look like Moses Malone. Hyatt atrocious. We could not press them....they too fast. They hit 3s...we still dont.

its not just on Pike, J Will didnt have it and no one but Cliff cared a damn and then Cliff was rendered ineffective in the end. Just not good upperclass leadership in such a big spot.
lol of course it’s not just pike.

We revert back to old Rutgers in the 2nd half. Just throwing up wild shots. Great D follow by wild layup misses.

Every team is gonna have offensive woes throughout the course of a season. But not having guys who can consistently get offense really hurts you on those nights.

We don’t have Ron Harper Jr anymore. But we have his brother soon!

He made RU basketball a thing again. Other than that, ehe.

Pike has trouble against these kind of teams. You can look back and the win loss records vs the minny, iowas, nd, nebbys of the world. I do not know what it is.
Good shooting will almost always beat good defense.

We did fine in the 1st half. The D was actually better in the 2nd half.

Out coached by Ben Johnson for the 2nd year in a row.

Sometimes when you're not a good team you lose on the road.
Spot on comment.Minnesota is like Iowa a bad matchup for Rutgers because they have multiple scoring threats inside and from the 3 point line.Rutgers wins games when they hold opponents to less than 65 points.
