Todays loss on pike 10 million percent

Ah yes it’s back.. Pile can’t coach and the players stink. Williams was due for an off game and the team had been feeding off of him the last few games. We need to remember that it was unlikely he would keep averaging 14 a game for the rest of season. He is only in game 5 after a looong hiatus.

No, but there are times that it is.
Thing is, beyond the general idea that the coach is the captain of the ship so he’s always to blame, fans lack the specific information to know who or what is to blame for any loss. We think we know, with our oversimplified conjecture. But we're just guessing.

And since we never know what pertinent information we don’t have, we cannot possibly know if we’re even close to correct. Hell, even the coaches and players, who start out with way more information than us, won‘t have a complete picture of what went wrong until after they have a chance to go back and review everything.

Love how the last 4 games all was well and now all of the sudden world is ending.

Fire Pike and Pike cannot coach....LOL!!

Some players did not play well and Pike was looking for hot hand. Many probably whined when Palmquist missed his first shot v Wisconsin. He then later made 3 in a row.

Players may have been a little banged up tonight. It is tough winning 5 in a row in BIG with 3 being on the road.

MN was the bigger and more physical team. Payne was dominant inside. They hit their 3s. On D, they forced RU to shoot jumpers and made it difficult for JW to get in the lane. MN is a good team and it’s tough to beat them over there.

For my detractors - did you actually watch the game and see Pike’s old nemesis, mind numbing substitutions? You were okay with Woolfolk getting extended time?

Yeah man we all watched. The rest of us can limit our 'emotional' posts/hot takes to the GameDay thread, instead of thinking they warrant their own thread. But you do you!

Pikes bad coaching this game warrants its own thread. Woolfolk playing extended minutes alone warrants it.

Minn played a great game. Payne played above normal and they were clutch on 3s and FTs in the 2nd half. That’s basketball. My only complaint is the rotation and not getting Cliff more touches in the 2nd half. On to the next one.

They made Payne like Shaq. He abused everyone including Cliff. That was shocking to me

honest question about the “miserable bunch” - what I am going to call the fans who only seem to post here after a loss

if these people are actually Rutgers fans (and not trolls) why do they clam up when we win and only come out from under their rocks when we lose?

Odd behavior? No?

I gazbillion percent think so

Tough call. So many Rockheads with the emotional stability of a Brownie troop.

You don’t know it was bad coaching. You only know it appeared that way to some fans.

What’s that? You do know?

Okay, then why did the coaching staff sub the way it did? What were the inbounds play calls supposed to be versus what happened? What exactly did the coaches do wrong that caused all the players to struggle to get their shots to fall in the second half?

Give detailed answers that you KNOW are correct. Only facts, not unprovable guesses or insults or “it has to be”’s or other similarly useless drivel.

You think you know, so now’s your time to shine.

Payne needed a big body on him when Cliff was out, not the skinny Wolf. Emmanuel should have played more. Oscar over gg based on last game. Lots of dribbling in traffic and little side to side action. Listlessness on D is coaching. Don't say they were tired. Less than 100% Mag is not on Pike.

Clearly people making these Ogbole comments are the most clueless. Ogbole was an absolute disaster yesterday and would have been chewed up by Payne the longer he was on the floor. At least Wolf, who is not having a good season, gave them some points.

The Ogbole experiment is basically over for this year. He's extremely raw, has limited offensive potential and other than size doesn't far well against decent bigs. The last couple of games are bearing this out. Edey will have a field day against him.
