will be interesting to see if both Wisconsin and Illinois can get in there as 4 seed. Also will San Diego State or Dayton squeeze in or will South Carolina who was wacked the other night someone stay on or could it be Clemson or Creighton

here is my prediction

1. Purdue
2. Connecticut
3. Houston
4. Arizona
5. Tennessee
6. Marquette
7. North Carolina
8. Kansas
9. Iowa State
10. Alabama
11. Baylor
12. Auburn
13. Duke
14. Illinois
15. Wisconsin
16. San Diego State.

If Wisconsin makes top 16 after their recent skid including 2 really bad losses, there must not be 16 good teams in the land.
its body of work...they have an excellent resume.....

6-5 in Q1
5-3 in Q2

overall NET 20

sos of 5, non conference sos of 15

6 wins vs teams projected in field

SOR 15

it will be close though....i dont know how a school like Dayton could get the nod over them tho to be honest

Do you think there is anything we will learn by the reveal?
Is there a ton of thought?
Is this the full committee?

Wachtel similar to you Bac, he has Clemson in over SDSU though

Watched SDSU last nite vs New Mexico. Two very good teams with SDSU winning the game. Rick Pitino has the lobos playing very well, but SDSU we’re just a better team. ..

Is his new or have I missed it in past years?

This is official from the selection committee? Similar to the weekly CFP rankings?

I wonder how many other teams will play 6 games against teams in that Top 16?

e.g. WVU only played the 4 big 12 teams once each. Ole Miss played 4 games against the SEC teams.

Bac - Looks like you hit all of the top 16! Great job as usual and as always !

No way Kansas a 2 over Iowa State after getting boat raced by 29 at Texas Tech as no # 2 team should ever have that happen plus their road record sucks, and Wisconsin squeezing in at 16 over Dayton after their 4 game losing streak or over Kentucky or South Carolina is a Big 10 gift. Alabama the first 3 seed is too high. Duke should be a 4 not a 3 . San Diego State a 3 in their place.

Dayton does not belong in top 4 from that weak ass conference

Wisconsin has 6 q1 wins and 11 q1/2 wins with no loss outside q2 plus insane sos numbers

So Carolina paper tiger was boatraced the other night. Kentucky resume is not 6-7 seed type

Alabama plays the 2nd toughest schedule in the nation

Iowa St non conference sos of 322 is an issue for seeding

Kansas has wins over Houston, UConn, Tennessee

So you ignore Kansas getting boatraced by punish South Carolina who lost to Auburn who is a ton better than Texas Tech. Be consistent. The reveal is supposed to be body of work plus where they stand now. No way you have watched Wisconsin over the last 5 games and think they are a top 16 team. If you do , totally totally disagree. Clemson a present 8-10 seed would boat race them.
How has Alabama been on the road ? Not # 9 team worthy

I'm lost. You saw that the Committee included Wisconsin in the top 16 reveal, right? It has nothing to do with "where they stand now".

Body of work is in Wisconsin favor..not what you did last few games

Their resume clearly indicates they are at 4 seed at worst 5

Not many have 11 q 12 wins

Body of work is why Kansas is a 2

South Carolina has done nothing but amass a bunch of wins

Their net is like 50

Doesn’t mean they got it right. What if Wisconsin loses at Iowa today ? Do you still think Wisconsin deserves a 4 seed losing 5-6 ?
They got a bunch of seeds wrong starting with Kansas that doesn’t deserve a 2 , that was purely a reputation placement. They have a good starting 5 but no bench. I call one and done in the tourney

So Carolina has 3 wins vs teams in field: Tennessee Kentucky Miss St...Grand Canyon best ooc where sos is 279
You mean 4 teams in the field . What is their record ? Before their last game loss how many did they win in a row , 7, in the best conference in the country the SEC ( despite the metrics loving the Big 12 )

They beat UConn without Klingon. They beat Houston at home. Watch what happens in the rematch in Houston. They will be boat raced again , just like what Houston is doing to Texas today.
Just because Committee puts out an order , doesn’t make it correct.

the reveal is what they think today not tomorrow or in 3 weeks.

Kansas has wins over the SEC, Big East, and Big 12 top team

sec is 3rd behind the big 12 and big 10

South Carolina has beat the WAC leader, the SEC leader but following up on that their only other wins of note are Kentucky and Mississippi State. They have a home loss to Georgia!

they lost by 40 to Auburn and 27 to Alabama

5 of their 9 league wins are to absolute garbage....Georgia, Arkansas, Missouri 2x, Vandy

they have a rough finish where they should sign on for 3-3

Seton Hall has better wins

They beat Tennessee a 2 seed on the road , beat Kentucky and Miss State and have won road games and have not one , not 2 but 3 winning streaks of 8 , 6 and 7 and only lost badly on the road to Alabama and Auburn , 3 seeds.

winning streaks or the amount of sheer wins do not matter. Despite a fine 8-3 mark in Q1/2 and 21-4 overall they still are only 50 in net, largely due to a nonconference sos of 279 and overall at 81 which sucks from a power conference

SEC in metrics maybe 3 but in reality they are #1 , anybody that watches can see that. SEC is much better than BIG 10., be real.

Why would a win streak matter? The order of wins has nothing to do with selection or seeeding. It’s overall body of work as of selection and in this case as of today.

This is what drives me crazy. Right now should they be in? Yup. Should they be a 16? F no. Get body of work but your giving another team ( a 13 ) an a easier game because how they were playing at the end.
