It has nothing to do with making the tourney. It has to do with Rutgers being a laughingstock under Eddie and thengaining the respect of every coach in the Big 10 in 2-3 years and a force in years 4 and 5 , beating every team except Michigan , including multiple highly ranked teams. Beating highly ranked teams by being tough and physical and players that can compete in this conference. You underestimate how difficult a lift that was.

Again, i think we were in, in 2020, likely as one of the play-in games but a number of bracket guys didnt, most infamously jerry palm who swear we werent in.

To be fair, as Rutgers sports fans we ALL have PTSD, and have been taken through the shredder with the fvck ups by our university and its athletic department many times, and our team's abilities to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. so fans can be forgiven more than the fans of other programs for wigging out when the first sign of hope looks like it's fizzling. I've seen dramatic posts from Ohio State fans crying that their program should be dismantled after a single disappointing loss. "We didn't win a National Championship! We suck!"

Agree. I thought this was ending with this historic run but I was wrong. People were frustrated at the time and rightfully so. We were seeing some of the worst basketball we have ever seen at that point. Easy to forget when we have been watching some of the best basketball we have ever seen.
Luckily weve started running some action on offense. Team has done a 180 past 2 weeks. Anyone who even claims they saw it coming is a complete liar. Pike has proven me wrong tho coaching wise these past 2 weeks, thats for sure
