We should fire Pike after this year, however reality is he’ll get fired in March 2024

Combining my response to your last two responses to me:

1 - Twitter - I do not use Twitter, so I won't be following you (or anyone else) there.

2 - Okay, you did say "if" - but I believe that was to beat the drum on how Pike needs to change his scheduling philosophy.

Have fun in Dayton! I am glad you are passionate about our teams. IMO, a little humility on this board would go a long way.

If you understand basketball, you know the difference between a bad team and and a team that had a bad streak but is capable of playing better.

Thats just the loser mindset of this fan base because we have buried the bar of what we should expect here. Next year we follow it up with another awful season and now the noise is palpable but we punt the decision one more year. 2023-2024 season is the 3rd straight bad year and we have no choice but to make a coaching change and now the 2024 season starts with a new coach rebuilding taking a few years to get us back to the tourney where we should expect to be every year.

we could start the proper rebuild with a new coach next season but we all know it wont happen for both financial reasons and because of how low the bar is here. But this is inevitable, everyone sees whats coming but we’ll put it off and settle for having a bad team for more years than we need to. I’ll be sure to bump this in march 2024.

For whatever reason, to some folks it is more important to have a public and loud opinion than it is for that opinion to be right. Recycling those posts seems to fall into the category of things that they also enjoy. It's public and loud.

There's lots of 'em on these boards. You can't really stop them. You can, however, ignore them. Then you're left with the sane posters who aren't constantly shouting "look ma, no hands." It becomes a more interesting discussion at that point.

Or not. Everyone gets the board that they want.

Just totally untrue haha. Handful of guys i own alot of brain space itt.

I was wrong on pike, happy to be.

Next step is do something in the tourney. We have purdue and indiana’s number. Hopefully we can do more of this vs athletic teams that force us to play one on one D which is the deficiency of this team imo. Yes, we have a great team D however outside of caleb we struggle one on one if teams isolate us. Michigan will tell us alot about this team as they like alot of iso and pnr ball.

Ive said this 100 times, i come here to talk sports and make predictions. Im right on most, wrong on some. Its looking like i was wrong on pike evidently. Difference is i dont care about being wrong, i root to be wrong when it helps RU

Tbd: can he make it out of the first weekend? Tbd. I think this team lacks athleticism. that work in big ten play but not tourney time typically. I root to make the tourney and make a run though of course haha.

My ron harper will play in the nba threads from when he was a frosh will never be bumped tho because people laughed at it haha

TBH, he says aloud what many of us are thinking in the heat of the moment.

Heck, I'll admit at various times I thought that Pike wasn't the guy.

It's just not my style to run to the message board and pump out blocks of texts when things are going bad.

Cali u still havent told us who you are on that $10K bet and you still think trump won in 2020 lol. Talk about bad takes. Youre the king of them. Me thinking a coach wouldnt get it done vs you thinking a presidential election was stolen LOL. And i say this as someone who voted for trump and hoped he won

I think you were incorrect about Harper as well. It wasn't play in the NBA, it was he would be first player drafted since Douby and/or drafted into NBA. That wasn't the case. I would have to go back and look though.

Correct, i did think hed get drafted. He just missed out however has done just as well as most 2nd rounders. I was laughed at for saying he would make the nba. I dont think he’ll have like an all star career and never said such. But people laughed at my mere proposition that hed make the nba

Which has been dead on haha. Some of the calls were 20% yoy price drops by January 2023. Turns out prices are still up about 10% yoy right now and around april-ish we should be at 0-3% yoy appreciation nationwide. My call was June 2022-June 2023 0-3% yoy appreciation. Frankly had i known rates would get into the 7’s on mortgages i wouldve called for price drops and i am surprised they didnt drop faster and more with these rates
