OT: Okay....let's talk about Maryland's Uniforms

Holy ****ing clown show. Seriously. Admittedly, I have always like their state flag, and I get WHY their colors are what they are.....BUT.....those things should never, ever, EVER be worn again against another B1G school. Throw them out there for your home opener against an FCS, okay? Embarrassing. It wasn't JUST the color combination, either, they were GOD-AWFUL in every way imaginable IMHO.

Huge Win, Just Huge!! We're Going Bowling Again - and the Last 2 are Winnable!

Despite all the injuries, Schiano and staff clearly had this team ready emotionally and gameplan-wise on both sides of the ball. We played excellent bend but don't break defense and got that huge INT, while we also executed quite well on offense, especially AK and his WRs (and the O-line protection), as AK went 20-30 for 238 and 2 TDs - very efficient game with some beautiful throws. I assume we'll see some crow being eaten by the usual suspects who had counted RU out at 4-4. Not me and not many other fans. Love the fight and grit of this team. Now let's go beat a very beatable Illini team at home next week and another very beatable MSU team on the road to get to 8-4 and a nice bowl (I will take 7-5 as that's improvement over last year and was my preseason prediction).

Edit: RU just sent this out. Nice.

The elephant in the room…

Let’s get realistic. We are starting, in terms of minutes, three freshman playing games that last forty minutes vis a vis thirty two minutes in high school. They will be playing guys who are more physically mature and more experienced from a basketball perspective. There will be lots of traveling over the course of the season. The season is far longer than in high school. The bottom line is that there will be a “wall” at some point. There is no way they can. be expected to run up and down the court and play stifling defense without cost.

Kudos to Greg and the staff

I've certainly been critical of Greg when I felt it was warranted, and likewise congratulatory when I felt he deserved it
Credit to him and the staff - bye week, they prepared, rested up, game planned and took it to both Minny and the Terps

This is the type of football I expect us to play every week
Tough, smart, opportunistic, execution filled and passionate are a few of the adjectives I'd use to describe the last two weeks
If we play this way against Illinois and Sparty, we'll likely win both, and at worst, split

Again, credit to Greg and Co. - they've rebounded and played true Rutgers football the 2 weeks (playing up to our potential) has been a welcome treat
