A LONG way to go, but still nice to be recognized:

Currently Rutgers a #5 seed in Greensboro playing the winner of the Richmond/ Virginia Tech play-in game.

Other side in Greensboro is Kentucky vs Steven F. Austin.

I don't think 11 B1G teams get NCAA bids when so many can't win road games.

11 teams is the most likely number of B1G teams to get in, followed by 10. 12 is more likely than 9.

A 5 seed is high for us, 7 seems most likely at the moment.

Agree with this. Too many teams knocking each other off in conference play. Hard pressed to see how we get more than 9 teams in, when all is said and done.

The committee has an easy out with Rutgers since we haven't been in the tourney since the 90s. If we look like a 5 but they have 8 to 9 teams they are comparing to us it is easy to make us a 6 or 7 since we will just be happy to be in the tourney.

Plus right now we are only 1-4 on the road.

The B1G has 10 teams in the Top 35 in Net Rankings (the system the committee uses to set the field) plus #43 Indiana and #44 Minnesota.

I assume those of you who don't think the B1G is getting 10 or 11 teams in the field believes the committee is going to put 68 teams in the tournament, correct? I personally don't see the NCAA cutting the field to 60 or 62 teams this year because "The B1G is beating up on each other". This league is very likely getting at least 10 teams in. As someone posted above 11 is more likely than 9.

This is again, a non issue due to the overall strength of the league with teams from 1 to 12. At some point, will the fans actually understand how balanced the league is??

The reality is as long as you avoid more than 2 home losses in the B1G, you are going to make the NCAAS.
