1. He hasn't filed the paperwork yet to be reinstated.

2. If it's a trade I don't think the Giants cap gets hit with the portion of the signing bonus that gets amortized. If that's accurate they have the cap space without question.

AD might have had problems with past coaches and the 49ers, but don't think that would stop most NFL teams from wanting him.
What would stop them is what the 49ers want for AD and his asking price.
NFL doesn't care about head cases if they have talent and could be AD's not a head case just to outspoken about the way he feels.
As for taking a year off, could have been for health reasons or just didn't want to be a 49er .

The 49ers are currently the worst run franchise in the NFL. Everyone wants to get out of there and problems with management are the norm.

The biggest risk with Davis is his concussion history. How much can you really on someone who may be one play away from retiring for good? And I say this as a Giant fan who would love to have him.

Half the board had issues with Schiano. And I'm pretty sure everyone here dislikes Harbaugh. He's a freaking lunatic and AD didn't like him.

I hope the Giants sign him. It would guarantee they are a top 5 if not top 3 offense this year. If the defense can put together 6 more stops than last c year they will be playoff bound.

Difficult for fans to assess whether AD would be good pickup for another NFL team at this point due to the concussions and inactivity this past season.

But if I'm a Giants fan my answer would be Pass.

He certainly is more talented and better compensated than nearly all of us.
