I don't care how you spin it these guys are not wrestling well. These are 7/8th placed matches and they both weren't overpowered to this extent during the regular season. Van Brill lost 4-3 to his guy and Deluca beat his guy. Others are stepping up their game, RU for the most part hasn't.

I know we're without Ash and lost a lot of points with Suriano having to be pulled for the last 2 matches but we REALLY need to learn how to wrestling better in tournaments, no? Am I mistaken? Hopefully Goody uses this to propel us to a better showing at nationals??!!! :pray:
DeLuca and JVB both pinned. What’s up with the coaching. The coaches recruited, coached, and motivate these kids. This is embarrassing. Is it recruiting, coaching, or keeping the kids under control? The only other team that wrestled below expectations is Iowa. Need Del to avoid typical Del match where he sleeps the first period and rallys to try a comeback. Mike VanBrill needs one for his confidence.

No. 5 Scott DelVecchio will have a rematch with No. 4 Jason Renteria (Nebraska) in the 133-pound fifth-place match.
It would be nice to exact some revenge, much like Lewis did with Marinelli. It would do wonders for confidence going into the dance.

Looks like Pritzlaff and Brands got into it in the tunnel after Lewis match. It is know that Pritzlaff does not like Brands. Can’t blame him. WNG can you get the details and tell us what happened.
I thought he was really going to try and push the action at the end there but he really didn't. He already had the stall warning against Renteria. Once he got the escape he had over 1:30 min. to push the action but didn't. Not one good shot.
Forfeit win for Lewis. Was waiting for this one, at least Lewis took third good job by him. On to the Massa vs. Marinelli rematch.
It was great watching Moore best Rasheed. Nice choice Carl having him wrestle instead of Cassar who beat Moore in dual meet. Poetic justice.
I too enjoyed that outcome. Also the fact that Rasheed scored 0 bonus points like they all thought he would do.
Have to disagree with you here. If the criteria is winner of the wrestle off gets the spot then have to stick to your word. Otherwise all credibility is lost. I feel terrible for Cassar but understand the decision. Man, Rasheed looked undersized against Moore.
