Guess it's Barclays or Philly every 5 years should the BIg 10 come east again for its tourney. ACC will stay at Barclays I presume when it travels north. Given the choice I would prefer Barclays over Philly. Zach Brazilier and Jerry Carino tweeted.

Apparently you didn’t attend any of the games/sessions last year. It was ****ing phenomenal.

It was also a week before the traditional conference tournament week. I prefer it the regular week. I assume so does the conference, or they will play it again that week.
If pike is the closer we think he may be, it won’t matter where/when we play.

That’s the ONLY part if the tourney that sucks, the week early, the rest was awesome. No joke.

Would have loved for the tourney to be at MSG but Barclays would be suffice if and when the B1G 10 comes east again for its tourney.

BE had the highest average post season conference tourney attendance (18,790) of any conference last year. More than 3,500 more than the BIG. So much for the BIG/ACC knocking the BE out of MSG.

We've been over this. They didn't have the first night because they only have 10 teams. Take the average attendance from the B1G tourney from when there were 10 teams on and let me know which had more fans there. Also, if Corey Sanders hits those 2 free throws and RU was playing PSU for a shot in the championship, the Garden would have been rocking the most its been for basketball since the Knicks made the finals

Just a prediction: Watch for UConn to join Big East soon. Somehow I have a feeling this was tied into the extension.

Obviously the folks at MSG disagree with you. Lol at the idea of RU and PSU “rocking the most since the Knicks made the finals”. Lol, ok...

Doubt it thanks to football and UConvicts abandoned BE inthe hopes of landing in a football conference. This was all about the BIG & ACC making a move on the BE & MSG. BE owns MSG & NYC. However, there's always Barclays.

Woulda, coulda shoulda, PSU vs RU showdown in PA wouldn't even rock the house. Dream on. Odds haven't been posted yet, but some year RU has to finally have a winning team that gets it into the post season - NIT. I love SH/RU week, especially after last Saturdays games.

As someone who was at BOTH tournaments I'd love to know who got paid to fudge those #'s for the Big East.

It absolutely would have. I guess you didn't see what it was like when we were in the NIT semis and final in '04 and we packed the place with our fans not once, but twice, and it was as loud as any Knicks game I've ever been to there.

The NIT final was insane. The whole train ride up to the city from new brunswick was car after car of people decked out in Scarlet yelling RU chants. Someone had a keg on the train. MSG was absolutely rocking that night!

I know that I have a NYC bias, but Philly wouldn't be bad either. It would feel a little less of a Rutgers home court, but from a conference perspective, it would serve three teams well (not to mention their fan bases who would be able to get there relatively easily). While MSG is the ultimate prize, Philly would still give us a local venue that would allow a large number of Rutgers fans to easily get to the games (especially the Central/South Jersey crowd).
