I wonder how many of these loudmouths actually have tickets..
it’s just mind boggling to me our board has now reached the point that they’re angry about people listing tickets on stubhub.
absolute lunacy!!

Are you trying to have 33% of the posts in this thread?Super cheap? Or super smart with their money?
Sick of our stadium being taken over so people can make a quick buck
Was that wrong? Should I have not done that? I tell you I gotta plead ignorance on this thing because if anyone had said anything to me at all when I first got my tickets that that sort of thing was frowned upon, you know, cause I’ve had lots of event tickets and I tell you people do that all the time.
Apparently not. You said above different strokes for different folks. Yet keep being an idiot if no one does what you do. So it's your way or the highway.Apparently, cheapskates are gonna be cheapskates.
Cheapskates love to be sanctimonious about being cheap. Funny.
Bravo, love it! 👏Having carefully read through this thread (not really), I've reached the conclusion that the only way to proceed, having not renewed my season tix for this season, is to purchase several dozen of the most expensive tickets I can find from the RU ticket office and then list them for $1 each on Stubhub, but only to purchasers who can prove they are from PSU.
Sure, I will be a sell-out, but I can live with that. What I couldn't live with, what I couldn't possibly bear, is the deep shame, the intense horror, the very visible stigma of being labeled a cheapskate by an anonymous person online.
I feel my solution addresses that.
You see, there's a huge difference. One side is telling others how to manage their money. One side is simply saying how they manage their own money, but telling no one else what to do.Are you trying to have 33% of the posts in this thread?
I think there are savers and spenders and plenty of people in the middle.
You clearly think there is virtue in getting the most for your money. I think there is virtue in not giving a shit.
Different strokes for different folks.
Maybe our fans who are upset with RU ticket holders selling tickets that end up in the hands of opposing fans should start a ticket collective like the NIL collectives, to buy up unwanted RU tickets so the other teams' fans can't get them.
Ask them the name of the most helpful administrator or faculty member at Rutgers University. If they name anyone, you know they never went to school here.
Or maybe the fans who are upset will just drop their season tickets so they don't have to deal with the issue.
Lol. Silliest post in five+ pages of ridiculousness ...and not likely to be topped.
Hardly silly as I know of at least one instance of this being a factor in a couple dropping their tickets after the 2019 season.
"A" factor.
Rutgers fans are going to want to pay nothing for them so I don’t blame fans for at least trying to make there money back and not just give them away because the seats are being sold to Rutgers fans.I would just like to see season tix holders post their tix for sale to Rutgers fans first via OUR Tix Forum. Making an attempt to be sure to put a Rutgers fan in those seats.
Certainly as time gets to whatever the "need to act moment" is then they go out to general market. Nobody should lose $ on their tix.
At least that's how I do it in the event I can't make a game. But its a free world. So take it fwiw.
Aw, man. I'm feeling pretty excluded now.Or ask them how long it took them to get from one class to another.
Ooooooooh, challenge accepted!Lol. Silliest post in five+ pages of ridiculousness ...and not likely to be topped.
Aw, man. I'm feeling pretty excluded now.
'Cause I've only ever been low-class.
I'm feeling the love, man.Never fear, I'll always consider you as scraping the very bottom of the barrel when it comes to class. I got your back!

I never said give them away.Rutgers fans are going to want to pay nothing for them so I don’t blame fans for at least trying to make there money back and not just give them away because the seats are being sold to Rutgers fans.
It will be mostly white. It's an away game for them. The PSU game is going to be mostly blue. You can see this coming a Mile away. At the end of the day, people will do what they want.
But it has provided a nice little list of RU fans I would never sell my big game Tix to for face as I know they'd be resold for profit. (No, not you Mike).it’s just mind boggling to me our board has now reached the point that they’re angry about people listing tickets on stubhub.

That's where I definitely draw the line. I would never buy from someone on this board and then resell. Thats an absolute scumbag move. But it has provided a nice little list of RU fans I would never sell my big game Tix to for face as I know they'd be resold for profit. (No, not you Mike).
..In 2017 my neighbor participated in similar when RU played Washington...so if Washington had an event I'm sure several others that have a NYC alumni base have some form of activiites...Michigan has a separate alumni association chapter just for Northern NJ. They apparently market the game to their local alumni and, while I didn't walk down there, supposedly had their own tailgate for their alums by the intramural fields and they could purchase tickets for along with passes for the black lot. Did anyone see what their setup was like? Does Rutgers make similar efforts for some of the other Big Ten stadiums? I doubt there are enough alumni in places like Iowa and Nebraska, but what about Penn State, Maryland, Northwestern, etc.?

20 year season ticket holder but not a real fan….sigh. This place makes me laugh, lol
why is it one or the other? Can’t I appreciate both?
i have no clue who bought my tickets. The last few times I’ve put on stubhub rutgers fans bought (I knew that since other members of my group went).
no members of my group went this time so I have no clue. And I have no control

Personally I'd spare a lot more than $200 if I thought it would help win a game. But if I'm the only one, that's why the situation with NIL among other things is where it is.
Yeah, but how many teams have fans that have to suffer through sitting in a section of their own stadium surrounded by obnoxious fans of the visiting team....all because $200 meant so much to other supposed fans of the home team ?Agree. my season tix, donation, Merch, concessions are WELL over $200. Try to do what I can to help Rutgers succeed
all good, every team in college football, nfl, nba and mlb…has season ticket holders that resell. So certainly not only a Rutgers thing.

None of your excuses would matter to me if I was sitting at an RU home football game surrounded by jerkoff fans of the other team. Maybe if I thought you needed the money to pay your rent....maybe.
My sympathy to the poor souls that were put into that bad situation by another Rutgers fan's greed.
1983. Many bad years, many years no need to buy seasons but no regrets until the Ash era. The string will probably come to an end next year. The pandemic thought me there are greats thing to do, great places to go on a fall Saturday. My neice and her husband have been mostly been using mine out of small group. She is do with her first in January. Good time to take a bow. Besides they have this thing called TV and they show every game. Who knew??I do and have had for worse debacle years. The minute I could afford them I bought. And I graduated during an actual recession- it was shortly thereafter.
