Here are the teams and times (by the way, the NJSIAA has changed their decision about not allowing tailgating)---http://www.njsiaa.org/sites/default/files/document/Football Championship Pairings by Site 2016.pdf
NJ Public HSs plays down to sectional champions:23 state champions?!
So cool. I was just thinking about that game. My dad took me as he was a Barringer grad. Was my first HS game. As I recall Butch Woolfolk tore it up for Westfield that day.I saw Westfield play Barringer in a matchup of two undefeated teams at Giants Stadium in 1977.Their precision was unlike any high school team then or now.
I made Westfield an 18 point favorite. They won 33-14.I should have gone into that business.
He was all set to sign with RU but Coach Bo came in for a sleepover and snatched him away. Some UM tradition never change. Why didn't Butch rep Jersey and go to RU?
They do it that way in Illinois.Could start the season a few weeks earlier like the rest of the country. This would allow for a potential true playoff system
Is it necesseary to have HS football games on TV?This is sad as hell. While some state HS finals are on FOX SPORTS 1 or even on ESPN, the NJ finals are on a channel that no one has (Channel 12... BTW, South Jersey don't count for aTV coverage eh lol?). And don't even get me started on how there will be 23 "state champions" instead of playing down to true state champions.
I can live with the 4 Parochial Champs and 5 Public Champs. One set of games at Rutgers and another set at MetLife. Or back to back weekends at Rutgers since FBS regular season is usually done by this time.
And have the games on FS1. NJ HS would have to battle to compete vs Florida, Texas, California HSs. But it can DEFINITELY compete vs Michigan, Washington, Arizona, Wisconsin, and the other states that have their championships on FS1 or Fox Sports Go. But of course NJ always eat their young... unless their young escape to Ohio State or Michigan.
OK, useless rant over.
Like I said, the NJSIAA makes the NCAA look like Mother Teresa with their scams. Of course parking is $12 for HS games. That NJ Transit Super train, or whatever is called, does not run at any time during any of the games at Met Life. SMMFH!!!Could someone post the prices for tickets and parking at Rutgers Stadium? I saw a note about Westfield HS playing at Met Life Stadium. CASH ONLY. $9 Adult admission, $3 Student & Sr. Citizen, $12 Parking. Sort of odd that parking costs more than admission. Macadam has come a long way in recent years -- more attractive than the games on the field these days.
Why not?Is it necesseary to have HS football games on TV?

Tx at Wall Twp were $3.00 for adults all season including first round.Court order a ways back that restricted NJSIAA for charging higher prices for playoff than regular season tickets if I am not mistaken. Ruling did not cover parking.......:flush:
