Embarrassing

Hopefully the team isn’t as mentally weak as the posters here and bounce back just as they did last year when everyone was asking if we’d win a game in conference play after Fordham.

It’s a bad loss and tough start to the year but good lord.

Man...I haven't seen rats desert a ship this quick. It's 4 games and they're 3-1. A lot of teams win ugly and lose ugly in the early part of the season. Let's judge the season when we're 10 games in.
It’s ridiculous. Like little baby’s when their binkie falls out of their mouth. Grow up people. Other team shot lights out tonight. It’s basketball. It happens. Lots of you g kids playing. New players (3) so chill will ya. Man

lol StB had two freshmen that combined for 39 including 7-10 from 3

SF Austin 4-0, Umass 4-0, and Drexel and Bryant is better than initially thought. This non-conference schedule is not as weak as once thought. MSU last 2 years we have lost to them by 10, 4, 11 and 11. What if we beat them this year? What if St Bonaventure finishes with 20 wins? Is it still an embarrassing loss? Guess Pike still can't coach or run an competent offense. Let the season play out. They are still 3-1.
3-1 and played NOBODY.

When you have the weak out of conference schedule we have and you lose games like this, yes, the season is essentially over if you have dreams of actually making noise for once.

The season is over with one bad out of conference loss? Really? Take some Valium dude. I guess Kentucky should just throw in the towel?

Yep, it's early.
St. John's lost to Vermont at home.
Kentucky lost to Evansville at home
Alabama has lost to Penn and Rhode Island.

Way to early to desert the ship.

Of course you’re right...if this were one game. But poor play in 3 of the first 4, against competition that is softer than what we’ll be facing in conference. It’s not looking good.

St. John's and Alabama are in year 1 of a new head coach and didn't really have any expectations.

Kentucky beat the preseason #1 before their upset meanwhile Rutgers nearly lost to Bryant and Drexel before theirs.

Laughable comparison.

Eugene is such a damn bum. F that kid.
EJ losts all his big men to injuries but no one cared but we are now blaming Pikes failure on one kid. Com’on man!!! There is still time to turn it around but they better get back to playing D or they will waste a great opportunity with the B1G being down this year.

"One team shot the lights out" isn't really the whole story. St. Bonaventure's best player Lofton went 0-5 from 3... How many games are we winning if Baker goes 0-5 from 3?

BAC- Spot on comments and they were also playing without their best player.A segment of the fan base is always looking for lame excuses to explain 13 straight losing seasons. The performance tonight wasn't a aberration .All fans want the team to be successful because we are tired of the losing and are expressing our frustrations. There needs to be a sense of urgency to change the status quo.

I'd hardly say St John's has no expectations. It's not if they are rebuilding.
Yeah, it's Alabama basketball.
You think Kentucky fans are rationalizing losing to EVANSVILLE, because they beat Michigan State? You then have no idea of the mindset of Kentucky fans.
