Game of Thrones as always lots of spoilers

So what is most likely to happen in the battle of the bastards?
  1. Ramsay's forces totally dominate and annihilate Jon's army - Sansa is killed, Davos is killed, the Wildings all die, but Jon somehow survives again. End game for GOT is Jon, Dany and Tyrion, each flying a dragon (because they're really all Targaryen, duh!) for the final epic battle against the Knight King.
  2. Ramsay's forces initially dominated but just as Jon's army was about to lose ...... here comes the knights of the Vale to the rescue! Ramsay is killed, Rickon is killed, Thormund is killed. However, Sansa kills Littlefinger anyway.
  3. Ramsay's forces initially dominated but just as Jon's army was about to lose ....... here comes the Riverrun Army, headed by Blackfish, who was resurrected by Thoros of Myr - of course it would mean the Brotherhood without Banners also joined the Riverrun forces in saving the day. Jon's new army now includes the Hound, Beric Dondarrion, Thormund, the Wilding Giant and Brienne of Thart. Everyone in Westeros and Essos agree they should all just surrender - including Dany and her three dragons.
  4. Ramsay's forces initially dominated but then out of nowhere, Bran shows up, wargs into Ramsay and orders his army to stand down. Ramsay is killed. Starks reunite to form the Fantastic Starks - Arya joins them also of course.
  5. The Wilding Giant goes to town on Ramsay's forces while the rest of Jon's army sat back and watched. Ramsay's army was never really in it.

House Tully comes and saves the day. I'm rooting for them for obvious reasons. LOL

A man walks into a brothel with a jackass and a honeycomb, the madam asks him......

Apparently the Greyjoys have made it to Daenerys.

They sure did sail across the world pretty quickly.

this smirk is better. Faye Marsay in real life.

Dayum! I'd let her hit me with a stick!

Wow, wow, wow. An episode for the ages. Ranks up there with Blackwater and Hardhome!

What do you think Ramsay meant when he sent that he already a part of Sansa? Could it be that she is pregnant or that he has changed her personality?
I assumed he was just talking about his abuse of her.

Did everyone notice the Lannisters and Freys celebrating or breaking bread together in the E10 preview? I'm thinking the reverse Red Wedding. Thoughts? :)

She also told Little Finger a couple episodes ago "I can still feel what he did to me inside of me".

So, why did I think Arya getting stabbed in the stomach 3 times and healing up in a couple days totally ridiculous. But, John Snow dodges 90 arrows, 17 horses and 100 guys crushing him to death completely reasonable?

Mad dodging skillz:

The most epic ep 9 ever? I think so.

The final ep will be over a hour long.
Yes, running time is 69 mins. I expect a lot more forward movement with storylines, including a resolution of Cersei and the High Sparrow. Once again, the real battle is with the WWs, so some of this other stuff needs to get figured out.

Do you really think Jon was a winner last night? Or did Sansa just use him?

My only criticism of the episode is that Jon Snow had shown some ability to manage a battle and he totally failed in that regard. And there was no effort put in to show that the Bolton forces were so well trained and Ramsay was such a great battlefield commander that he could pull that off.. until House Aryn came to save the day.

They did set that up nicely... gave us just enough hints that the Vale was on the way without being so explicit as to ruin the surprise. Makes me wonder what that deal will be... Littlefinger and Sansa and he idiot "make the small man fly" cousin. Did Briene of *%#@* Tarth not make it back in time for that battle? We saw the Onion Knight Ser Davos find the ashes and bones of Shireen.. now he knows the Red witch burned her. Could be the Red lady's last episode coming up... or Davos's.

I only wish we saw Arya arrive in Westeros in some way and reunite with the Hound and/or her direwolf. So many story lines I want to see more of. Episode 10 is called "Winds of Winter".. should be the last episode this season and is the name of the next book.. which will include the same subject areas as this seasons shows... and more.

So, what do they have to do in this last episode? Maybe answer these questions:

- Bran, Meera and Benjen "Coldhands" Stark... are they headed to Winterfell and/or are the new Winterfell Stark/Aryn forces headed to the Wall to face Whitewalkers?

- Status of Arya's return and Clegane with teh Borthers without Banners (are they headed north to face whitewalkers?)

- The trial of Cercy and Loras facing 7 Septums. What did flower note signal the Grandmother to do.. will she bring all of the Reach's forces to Kings Landing? Will Jamie make it back in time with his army?

- in the books.. by now a force made up of a large mercenary company and some Targarian descendant not named Dany are supposed to have landed in Westeros and be attacking Robert Baratheon's home castle. Are they just skipping that?

- and what the hell is happening in Dorne with the viper sisters? And what about Sam Tarly and that sword.. is he being chased? Still headed to Old Town?

- I suppose the final scene will be Dany and her dragons heading out of Mereen with he fleet. Or maybe the Whitewalker army threatening the Wall. or both.

Now I want the book. But it looks like I will be seeing what Chris Ash and company can do before I get that. Maybe even, dare I say it, a bowl game could come and go before I see that book?

I think the final scene will be the reverse red wedding - just not sure who will do the deed. Lady Stone heart? Brother hood without banners? Or, here's the GOT-style surprise ..... Jamie Lannister!!! duhn ..... duhn ....... duuuuuuuhn ........ .

Or being resurrected from the dead.

I had a creepy thought that Sansa wanted Rickon dead.. to clear the way for her ownership of Winterfell. But her comments to jon about ignoring the possibility that she might provide some good insights (even though she's a woman) fell in nicely with the Dany/Yara's girl power moment.

For someone who wanted to be consulted, she gave crap all by way of actionable advice. The dynamic should be interesting, in that she saved the day by getting help, but she F'd them by not letting them know that she was getting help.

Jon did not have to rush to save Rickon.. it wasn't going to happen. As the smaller force he should have chosen his ground and made them come to him. Jon got so so so many people killed for nothing. That's why the whole battle scene rang hollow for me. Well done, cinematography galore getting you the visceral feel of battle... but Wildlings and Jon's guys watching the foe build a shield wall around them.. so stupid. Not believable. And why didn't Jon's archers get in close enough to hit the cavalry charge of the Bolton's? The Director of that battle should fall on his sword.

The whole point was to demonstrate that Jon Snow is ruled solely by his emotional demons and is incapable of objectivity and, thus, genuine leadership.

This seemed pretty obvious to me.

I have to admit, dodging all that metal is actually more believable than say absorbing it all and then surviving.

Then again, Jon Snow already cheated death once and I didn't question it, so I suppose my opinion is a bit unqualified..?

She requested help, she did not know if it was coming.

Fair enough, still seems worth mentioning and sets things up for some conflict between Snow and Little Finger/Sansa.

No doubt. Seems like there will be conflict between Sansa and Little Finger in the next episode.

It is good to get the main players in the same place.

I'm convinced she's using him. Littlefinger being involved means Jon better watch his back.

Anyone think the whole Jamie/Cersei thing is going to end badly? I'm guessing the king dies Sunday and Jamie finally sees her for what she is.

Rickon getting killed was GoT Dawinism.

When Bolton cuts you loose and tells you to run, I can see maybe thinking running in a straight line is the fastest way to get away. But when the first arrow hits the ground a few yards away I'm running in zigzags and loops and whooping like Curly from the 3 Stooges the whole way back to Jon Snow.

Yes, it ends badly (I think). I'm guessing a throwback to the mad king, and she's screaming "Burn them, burn them all..."

It's time for the Night King and the "real" battle begin!
That was a ridiculous battle scene.

I thought the hounds were going to chase down Rickon.

Hands down the best combat scene of the series. Show starts with a bang and ended with an even bigger one.

I think Jon is just the luckiest dumba$$ in all of Westeros. He was about to lose at the Wall when Stanis' army saved his arse and now he was going to get speared and trampled on the plains of Winterfell when the Tullys bailed him out. His reaction to the Rickon death, running off by himself is just plain stupid. He may have courage and the ability to rally troops, particularly Wildlings, but he is no tactician.
