#9 Louisville 75 #17 North Carolina 66 - real mixed feelings about this one
Arkansas 54 Auburn 36 - Razorbacks still have a dark-horse chance at the NCAAs

North Carolina Wilmington 84 Northeastern 78 - Huskies gave up 6-point halftime lead

Other ranked teams

#1 South Carolina 89 Vanderbilt 59 - Wilson and Mitchell each had 20 for the Gamecocks
#3 Baylor 79 West Virginia 51 - I watched most of the 1st half and it wasn't pretty
#7 Florida State 65 Virginia 56 - Seminoles in 3-way tie with Louisville and Duke for 2nd in ACC
#8 Oregon State 73 Arizona 48 - not exactly a surprise
#12 Arizona State 72 Oregon 52 - Alleyne with 19 and 10 in a losing cause
#13 Mississippi State 75 Florida 62 - somewhat closer than I would expect
#19 Stanford 68 UCLA 50 - annual weekend home and home with Cal up next for the Cardinal
#20 George Washington 70 St. Bonaventure 48 - Jones with 13, 17 and 8 for the Colonials
#23 Syracuse 59 Virginia Tech 51 - a lot closer than I would have expected
East Carolina 65 #25 South Florida 64 - not quite as big an upset as it might appear, but still bad news for the Bulls

Also

Marquette 73 Seton Hall 70 - ouch
Butler 65 Georgetown 56 - Hoyas need more kale

There have been two - count 'em, two - palindromic scores in 44 games today completed so far today. That makes 33 palindromic scores in 4,381 games this year.

Is extra credit given when there are two equivalent palindromic scores?

BeK - just to be picky and obnoxious, Feb 15 is not the Ides of February, February 13 would hve been considered the Ides by the Romans. Other than that, keep up the good work.

Thanks for the history lesson. (honestly) I had the same thought as BeK. Learn something new every day!

Roman calendar

As I sometimes say to younger people in my office, the most important thing I've learned over the years is the vast extent of my ignorance. Some days it seems to be getting even more vast, too.

Did you study Latin?

I'm old enough to have had a couple of years.
That is why I also knew the Ides was not the 15th this month

I feel I'm getting a college education at Rutgers, a bonus of being an RUWBB fan.
