so what? We are hosting a top 5 program in MSU. BFD.

Arkansas hosted number 1 Texass in 1981 and best them 42-11. It wasn't even close.

MSU is over rated. Beaten up. And barely surviving.

Caroo is back!

Why not pull off the upset? Set up the pass by running the ball to James. Hit Caroo down the sideline for multiple scores(you gotta know he is ready to break out).

This IS OUR WEEK! Take advantage of it! I wish I was there but I have to watch my Hogs face Bama AT Bama!

Go Scarlet Knights! Slay the Spartans!

SouthernGent has got into the Southern Comfort...and that's a good thing. I think I'll do the same

I do not drink Southern Comfort. If it's bourbon, it's Elijah Craig 12 year old. Or Old Charter 10.
Tonight it is Exclusiv Vodka. Made in Moldova. Try it. Very smooth and very inexpensive. I use martini onions or olives stuffed with garlic or blue cheese. All very good.

My vision of tomorrow nights game is not clouded. At least not yet! Victory is a matter of perspective and desire. Desire to win, matched with emotional commitment, can lead to glorious results!

Why CANT we beat MSU? They have been very fortunate to be where they are to date. It is time for MSU to lose!
All we need are turnovers and a physical game plan.

You gotta believe!

I had Hope and Faith, once. But then that stone-cold fox, Destiny, stole my heart and I never looked back.

As the saying goes, "That's why they play the game"
MSU is really overrated based on how they have played. It may well take an almost perfect game by us, but why not? After all, we have already beaten the #2 in our history.

Love the enthusiasm but my confidence level is such that if you give me 100 to 1 odds I might bet a $1. Maybe $2 if I'm really drunk.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor, He'll No!

Can I get an AMEN from the choir?!?

Have a good feeling, Laviano has to throw on first down.

He has to throw more than just 3rd down for sure.

I suggest a screen pass occasionally as well as the draw play. You have to believe that MSU is going to rely heavily on a pass rush. Draws and screens will help negate that tactic.

Gotta have faith!

Been saying this for weeks Southern there are ways to slow the pass rush our OC has chosen not to employ those plays for some reason thus far. Hoping he was just keeping them under wraps till game 5.:grimace: Good luck to the Hogs today on my way to High Points(hate that name) in a few minutes.

I'm guessing that it's kind of hard to be totally unpredictable in a football game because teams train for and play a certain way and they're likely to be at their best doing what they've trained to do. However I would think that in any game, being as unpredictable as possible within one's system is a very good thing.

In this particular game, I have to think Dantonio (or his D coord) is going to attack the QB and O-line aggressively leaving his secondary somewhat exposed. We have a young QB and the O-line has not yet gelled. So I would run similar plays that the team has trained for, but I agree w/people that we should mix up the sequencing of those plays. And for sure, given the bye week, I would've worked on some draw plays, screen's and various plays that leverage Laviano's good mobility to help punish overly aggressive D pressure.

But you know what they (well, Tyson) says: everybody has a plan until they're punched in the mouth. Like most, but not all, football games. The team capable of punching harder and more consistently is going to win the game.
