Lindsey Scott Jr. decommits from Cuse.....

How is MD in a better position for Pigrome? Is MD running a similar offense? I don't know of Pigrome having any other visits (Md) set up. The same goes for Scott. MD has a lot of ground to make up. It really hard to get a recruit to commit to your school if they haven't even set up an OV.

Pigrome was being recruited by Maryland's new OC when he was at Arkansas State, so that might help.

Glory days? What glory days???
Glory days for one team may be much different from other teams.
Syracuse was Orange bowl 1953, Cotton bowl 1959, with Jim Brown,
Cotton bowl 1959, National Champ 1959, With Ernie Davis, 1961 First
Black Heisman winner, Ernie Davis. Followed by Floyd Little, Larry Csonka,
Followed by Joe Morris, and Art Monk.
Their glory days outshined Rutgers' Glory Day. Yes, when RU beat
Louisville in 2006, that was our Glory Day.

Scott had an in home visit with UNC today. They have a EE pro QB for 2016 as well as Dual QB 4* committed for 2016 already. Interesting that they still did an in-home with him.

At one time the world was supposed to be flat, times change and glory days of the past don't change the present.
Just give people something to ease the pain they have now.
RU's glory days are ahead of us and might have started when Ash was hired.
The Louie game wasn't RU's only glory day: you have two undefeated seasons, the Birth of Modern Football and other accomplishments if one cares to check out RU's FB history.
Here's an example of the little things RU FB fans can be proud of, even if you're not:
http://www.nationalchamps.net/NCAA/database/rutgers_database.htm

Some might not remember when RU was more of a FCS division member then playing as a FBS program.
So they might scoff at what RU FB accomplished as a D-1AA program and not even think about Rutgers undefeated seasons or any of the other things that make this RU FB fan feel good.
Even if they seem minor to someone else , they mean something to me.
Will copy and past something so no one feels they shouldn't have taken the trouble to learn about RU FB's past:
Middle Atlantic Conferences
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In 1958, the MAC began sponsoring football. The football conference essentially operated as two separate conferences with the larger schools (Delaware, Temple, Lafayette, Lehigh, Bucknell, Gettysburg, and Rutgers) playing a round robin schedule, and the smaller schools (Juniata, Lycoming, Wilkes, Widener, and Albright) playing a separate round robin schedule. Although the upper division of the conference (which also included Muhlenberg, Drexel, La Salle, and St. Joe's) competed at the Division I (then known as the University Division) level in other sports, only Rutgers was considered a University Division football school. Following the 1969 season, the upper level of MAC football was disbanded as Temple dropped out to upgrade their football schedule. Rutgers had previously dropped out of the MAC for all sports and a five team football league was not desirable.

Rutgers Scarlet Knights football
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rutgers first undefeated season was in 1876
The 1961 season was particularly remarkable as it was the Scarlet Knights' first undefeated season (9–0)
In 1961, Rutgers was considered a contender for the Rose Bowl, but was not selected because university president Mason Welch Gross did not express interest with the Rose Bowl's organizers
Rutgers football, led by coach Frank R. Burns, showed the nation its capabilities with an undefeated record in 1976 (11-0).
In 1976, Rutgers declined an invitation to play an unranked McNeese State University at the inaugural Independence Bowl, feeling snubbed by more prestigious bowls despite its undefeated 11–0 season.

Just because I'm proud of some of the things RU FB accomplished competing basically as a D-1AA (FCS) school doesn't mean I expect all RU fans to feel the same way.
Just hope no one feels the need to belittle what Rutgers accomplished playing a D-1AA schedule because RU FB 's history doesn't make it look like one of thee top programs that ever was.

I would still consider Harvard over any other option if I'm this kid. Perhaps he does have the Russell Wilson potential, but if that's the case, that would shine through at Harvard too.

So do we all like him now that LSU has offered him?
LSU has 0 2016 QB commits as their plan A and B have passed. LSU then went after Haskins and Russo, both turned them down. So as a last resort they offered this kid. In 2015 LSU got a 3* recruit that was not rated high either. For some reason the top qBs are passing on LSU last year and this year.

Keep in mind they were after Russo before Scott.

Scott may be a good player but he was not LSU's top choice.

Scott doesn't fit LSU offensive style, so to sit and knock Scott isn't fair. What you have it a school that is scrambling for any QB. Russo was a fit for them, so he would be higher on LSU board. Tell the whole story. This agenda crap has to stop.

I have a bad feeling we won't get any of the 3. Don't know why just don't feel any recruiting momentum atm. Mehringer is gonna have to prove it on the field first.

I think Tylin Oden commits to RU. He's stated in numerous interviews lately that the two most important factors in his decision are the opportunity to play early and academics. Coach Ash also seemed to make a positive impression.

Official visit is set for 1/29 so we get the last chance to make the best impression before signing day unless he cancels.

I believe Wikipedia is in error as Stevens Tech won the 1876 game. Below is Rutgers record book and Stevens won but the season was wrongly listed as a win for Rutgers
1876 (1-0-0)
Nov. 1 Stevens 3, Rutgers 2 New Brunswick, N.J.

They gave Rutgers the win by mistake in our record book.

What makes you think they were after Russo? Just because they stopped by his school? That school is a top program. I don't recall anything that said he had an offer.

Nah, we won 3 - 2. Please don't try to cheat us. We need all the wins we can get.

He has visited Maryland and RU in the past few days......he could end this all at any given moment, since he has the offer and visited....but he's probably going to LSU this weekend...

SO....why would you share such a negative vibe....strange..almost no one would do that except maybe a Cuse fan wishing the worse for us...
