Turley gets the 15-0 TF over #9 DJ Washington. Wow! Super impressive win.
Love seeing some vintage Turley out there!

And yet White had a chance to tie it up. Good wrestling from everyone. Hermes was def in a tough spot. Shocked to see him at 141!Granted it’s Indiana but a lot of these guys look pretty polished tonight, almost like they treated the non conference schedule as a trial for certain things. Not much to complain about tonight. Cetta wrestled well in defeat, Hermes was in an impossible situation, and we know what we’re getting at 165. Other 7 weights all looked great.
Yup. Remember Hepmer? He decomitted and at OSU? He's looking pretty decent this year. Just had a pin.I’m convinced our 165 situation is intentional so that we can sell more food at intermission and people aren’t in a hurry to get back to their seats. It’s either a blowout or a snooze fest every dual
I just don't know why we can't ever get a portal commit at 165. That said an impressive W tonight and on to Purdue.Yup. Remember Hepmer? He decomitted and at OSU? He's looking pretty decent this year. Just had a pin.
We have had some bad luck at 165. Glasgow, Hefner, Kannaird (injured a lot). Wish we got to see them all play out.
I just have no idea what Anthony White does. He literally has zero offense, no top game, and really no scrambling ability. I dont understand how he won a state title. I’d rather see Gayer and let him learnI’m convinced our 165 situation is intentional so that we can sell more food at intermission and people aren’t in a hurry to get back to their seats. Hope Moore was just out for precautionary reasons and he is back for Purdue. And yet White had a chance to tie it up. Good wrestling from everyone. Hermes was def in a tough spot. Shocked to see him at 141!
Completely dumb but I think maybe 1 match he got Turley to his back if I recollectWhy would you ever go for a 50-50 move against Turley
165 has been a black hole for nearly a decade at this point. Like honestly, can't Goodale sell a decent 165 lber in the portal on basically starting Day 1 here?I just have no idea what Anthony White does. I dont feel like searching my posts...lol...but pretty sure I remember posting the last couple years (I think Wick) but the top 1 or 2 we were never gonna get. For some reason 165 has been pretty weak in the portal.165 has been a black hole for nearly a decade at this point. Turley was still recovering from injury last year.Love the aggression from Turkey. Seemed to missing a bit last season.
@Tango Two since you've become the official match thread starter. Please start up a new thread for the Purdue match and going forward each match instead of lumping weekends together. You're not cluttering up the board but adding to it.
Yara was very patient... But kept the pressure on his opponent... Eventually got him out of position and pounced for the TD...Yes, he probably could've forced the action a lil more... But he was able to stay aggressive while keeping himself out of bad positions...Great match overall. Cetta reminds me of Clark from last yr, just getting better and better. Not a guy many expected a lot from but has strong together a few very solid matches.
Turley looked awesome. Still need to see him win a full match to feel confident in his gas tank, but def killed it yesterday!
Poz is a work horse. Soldano looked very composed.
Yara kept very good position, could have scored more? Maybe, wanna see more matches. Is there a scoring thing with him against bigger heaviest vs smaller, more athletic?
Peterson had a great rebound match. Shawver is very good on his feet.
Good to see hermes and desantis some mat time.
I was surprised the Indiana kid never got called for stalling. It's not a pushing match but eventually you have to go forward and not always backward. I was surprised too. The Indiana HWT took no offensive actions. Maybe one feint of a shot?I was surprised the Indiana kid never got called for stalling. It's not a pushing match but eventually you have to go forward and not always backward. The whole match was Yara pushing the action forward.
To the kids credit... He did keep circling towards the center and did enuff... Barely... And i mean barely...to keep the ref from banging him more...I was surprised the Indiana kid never got called for stalling. Wow looks like we know what the main event is
Should have started at 133Wow looks like we know what the main event is
Good luck with RainmanI guess we're not going to get that new match thread. O' well. I can see how there's so much content on here that we have to combine matches to not clutter the board. @Tango Two you should have just let @Clearscreen25 start the threads like he always used to instead of combining his with yours.
And only 1 stall call during 14 minutes of nearly no actual wrestling from his opponents. It has to be a bit frustrating for him.For the last two matches, guys pretty much running from our HWT.
