Zach's nickname should be the Phenox Man. From being written off to starting and playing great.
He had a great half. Let him put together four more strong games, and we may have something. As in maybe the Jets will consider picking up his fifth year option, something that was unthinkable a mere five hours ago.

He’s been through a ton. I’m happy for him for having a great game. Jets needed that in the worst way.
Love him or hate him, hard not to appreciate how exuberantly happy he was at the end of the game.

Plus virtually all occurred in the 2nd half, Jets did zilch on O in the first half, 100 total yards and no points.
If this is a real sign that Zach is progressing, and he goes onto much bigger and better things, the Jets have Tim Boyle to thank. If he wasn't so brutally horrible as Zach's replacement, there's a good chance Zach would never have received another chance in NY.
Zach Wilson is horribly inconsistent but he's also very talented. Not having an offensive line will make that problem worse
Agreed. He has shown flashes of brilliance where you can see what he is capable of. Jets are just a cursed franchise until they prove otherwise.

The problem is not Zack Wilson. The problem is the OL is more prous than a sponge and worse than Colorado's line. If Aaron Rodgers made it past 4 snaps he wouldnt have made it thru 3 games there is so long a 38 yr old QB can run for his life. The coaching & playcalling is a shitshow

Wilson has elite arm talent and is athletic. His problem has been the processing, decision making part of the game. He was raw and had not played a lot of games at BYU. In retrospect, he should not have been starting early. As a lifelong Jet fan, I was hoping it would work out here. I think he will be traded after the season and would not be surprised if he becomes a solid starting QB in a better, less pressurized situation.
You cant process when the defense is on your grill in less than a second and you are running for your life. As a Jets fan 100,% agree it seems we always draft QB's when we shouldnt. Dirty Sanchez was the worst. He played 1 yr with the best player at every position in the country. It is so hard to suck under those conditions. I said before they drafted Sanchez it was a horrible pick. I'm optimistic about Wilson dont think it will happen as a Jet just simply because it is a horrible organization

Jets need to draft another QB for next season. Derek Carr would have been a far better option at QB than what the Jets had this season.
IMO Jacoby Brissett is the best backup QB in the league. If the Jets had him I think they'd be in the playoff hunt.

I saw a story this morning that if true confirms both an expectation I had and the worst judgements about the Jets FO.
Rodgers is really good friends with Bahktiari. The story was he is pushing the Jets to acquire him for next year.
Imagine coming off of this year, where almost their whole OL was injured, and the Jets “solving” their OT problem by getting a guy who hasn’t been healthy enough to play in 3 years.
Fox keeps putting those super imposed lines on the field. They are horrible. You have the graphics of them over the players
