Started watching the new version and on episode 4. Pretty good. It's funny though- the main actor- for some reason his face just disturbs me. It is like it is just too fat. lol
Only seen him in THE LAST SAMURAI and JOHN WICK 4. But Hiroyuki Sanada is a Japanese movie legend working in countless classics out there. NO SPOILERS but I Thought he was Bad Ass in this show, along with the actress who plays Mariko and Cosmo Jarvis, who apparently is probably going to be the next big thing in Hollywood.
The Netflix show “Ripley” was awesome. Just finished it last night. Gripping plot, very good acting (a grown up Dakota Fanning) and excellent cinematography. Probably the best thing that I’ve seen on Netflix in 2 years.
Don’t know if I mentioned this before. But I’m rewatching Barry on HBO. Underrated show.

Looking forward to The Great War on the History channel premiering Monday 5/27.
I thought it was really good, wish they did a little more on Patton and the tank corps. though. They were just a passing thought in the show. Even though they didn't change the outcome of the war, still a huge technological breakthrough for the time.

I have to be more careful when selecting shows and it would be helpful in networks could give the spoiler that Covid ended a show with a cliffhanger but it never came back because of covid.
One fun show- The Glades- really just enjoyed it has a huge cliffhanger that 4 years built up to...never came back
One drama that I enjoyed, did the same thing- The Tyrant.
This is just a warning to do the math when binging- if it started pre covid and the last season was 2019 or 202- be prepared for it to end with no end.

Homeland is pretty damn good- amazing how many of the actors end up on Billions
That one I was hooked. For a couple weeks I came home from work and only wanted to watch Homeland.

Pretty good thus far. Don't think it will ever rise to really good or great in my opinion, but I am liking it.
A Swiftie I know who is now sorta interested in football recently watched it. She liked it. Thought the guy got hosed?
I'm half into the show and as of now, I don't see anything that he did wrong. And I hate UM and Harbaugh.
It seems that way, but AppleTV+ releases shows once per week. I know few watch, but there are good quality shows. My wife watched Presumed Innocent the old way and are watching once per week for Bad Monkey.
The first two seasons were great, but I thought Season 3 was a bit tedious. My expectations are super-low for S4.
We watched presumed innocence as well. Very good though I thought the ending was meh.
My wife mentioned the first 5 episodes of Cobra Kai were recently released a month or so ago. I usually rely on this board to let me know. 😀 Unless I missed it somewhere in this thread. I will need to check them out if true.
Bad Monkey is just ok. It reminds me that Vince Vaughn is just not a good actor. Presumed Innocent was very watchable.
Hmmm... Bad Monkey seems very good. You have a Vince Vaughn issue? Some people have issues with some actors.. hate them in everything. Jeff Goldblum for example. Hmm.. Bad Monkey does require "going with it" It's more romcom than a tight mystery-suspense kinda thing. It is pretty high production values.. captures the Keys.

Can’t disagree more! Wife and I Just LOVE Bad Monkey and Vince Vaughn. He is killing it in this show.
I travel to the West Coast quite often. Being I usually travel out West on a Sunday I watch a lot of "bingeable television" on cross country flights. Three good recent ones:
Presumed Innocent- Jake Gyllenhall as a DA accused of murder
Bad Monkey- Disagree with some of the above. I love Vince Vaughn and he is really good in the show (imo)
Slow Horses- Not new, but new season coming out this week. Gary Oldham as British MI5 agent
