Evidence of what?Granted its texas southern but boy oh boy is the evidence gonna be overwhelming if back to back RU players lead one of the top programs in the nation. Especially JY after he got hosed here
That pike isnt using players properly on the offensive end of the floor/not running an offenseEvidence of what?
Lol. You ever play college ball? High school? Any coaching? That pike isnt using players properly on the offensive end of the floor/not running an offense
Geez man, I have no clue what you do for a living but you could have been the highest paid state employee. Between being the HC for Football you could do the same for basketball.Granted its texas southern but boy oh boy is the evidence gonna be overwhelming if back to back RU players lead one of the top programs in the nation. Especially JY after he got hosed here
You don’t know what bagmen are?Granted its texas southern but boy oh boy is the evidence gonna be overwhelming if back to back RU players lead one of the top programs in the nation. Especially JY after he got hosed here
JY is gone...wish him the best.....I think the Coaches and some of the players are somewhat happy he's gone as well.....better locker room and team chemistry now.....albeit he was terrific player and made the play of the millenium at Minnesota.Granted its texas southern but boy oh boy is the evidence gonna be overwhelming if back to back RU players lead one of the top programs in the nation. Nope didnt play college ball or coach. But we also dont run a legitimate offense. For anyone that disagree with this i challenge you to post a simple 5 minute clip of any game in pikes first 5 years where you see use consistently running anything that resembles an offense. Theres about 150 games, all im asking for is a 5 minute clipLol. You ever play college ball? High school? Any coaching?
Deferred in 2nd half when it was out of reach. 12 pts on 5-6 shooting in first halfSo... 14 pts, 3 RB, 2 Ast, 1 Stl, 2 tov..... against Texas Southern.... is dominating?
Hes alot better than geoJY was high risk & high reward at RU
He wanted to be the man here but that’s wasnt possible with Geo and RHJ
I wasn’t talking about playing abilityHes alot better than geo
Clip the first 5 minutes PLUS the next 3 vs SHU at home in Dec 2019!! I see your 5 and raise you 3!!!Nope didnt play college ball or coach. But we also dont run a legitimate offense. Wow Phil. Who and how do you know this?JY is gone...wish him the best.....I think the Coaches and some of the players are somewhat happy he's gone as well.....better locker room and team chemistry now.....albeit he was terrific player and made the play of the millenium at Minnesota.
Yep. And he was high risk and low reward at Texas, They were not sorry to see him go.JY was high risk & high reward at RU
He wanted to be the man here but that’s wasnt possible with Geo and RHJ
Show it to me. Haha, the first bucket on designed alley ooo play, very nice. Besides that motion a couple times (motion isnt a play, its a time killer) then no offensive sets besides high ball screen and space let guys go one on one.Clip the first 5 minutes PLUS the next 3 vs SHU at home in Dec 2019!! I see your 5 and raise you 3!!!
WOOOOHOOOOO!!! What do I win?
I agree with this and if you read between the lines you can tell this was the case. I loved watching Jacob as he’s a gamer and left eve thing out on the floor but he could also be maddening to watch. Also , the other players had a tendency to stand and watch when he had the ball, specifically at the end of the shot clock. Sometimes a really good player doesn’t mesh well the the team; it’s no ones fault just reality.JY is gone...wish him the best.....I think the Coaches and some of the players are somewhat happy he's gone as well.....better locker room and team chemistry now.....albeit he was terrific player and made the play of the millenium at Minnesota.
I don't see anyone trashing this year's team by looking at JYs game . Root for our guys.. absolutely! but don't forget he's hardly the only guy who choose not to come back.I mean who really gives a flying f_uck about this guy now. The guy didn't want to be here. He didn't want to be here. He didn't want to be here. He didn't want to be here. Should I say it again?
You're acting like the jilted boyfriend who's girl leaves him and you're running around stalking her. Find a new girl! Ride with what you got. And hopefully we have a pretty good team here.
And oh yea, JY didn't want to be here anymore!!
Here we go!!!! Can you please stop with this...Tx Southern...If we don't score 80 in every game are you going to continue beating this drum??? If our outside shooting improves our offense will look better...That pike isnt using players properly on the offensive end of the floor/not running an offense
Some players on the team didn’t mesh with Jacob. Easy to blame the guy who is gone. They also didn’t mesh with EugeneI agree with this and if you read between the lines you can tell this was the case. LMAO...He just loves himself too much so continues to beat his own drum...Over and over and over12 points- 2 assists- 2 turnovers. Against Texas Southern.
He averaged 14 points under Pikiell. Maybe he’s regressed offensively under Altman!
Yup, I win! WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!Show it to me. Haha, the first bucket on designed alley ooo play, very nice. Besides that motion a couple times (motion isnt a play, its a time killer) then no offensive sets besides high ball screen and space let guys go one on one.
We run European side ball screen action as our main offense. It’s a common simple offense that my high school team runs as one of our offenses too. Many other colleges run this too. Now Rutgers runs the most basic version of this and don’t do a lot of wrinkles out of it which I’d love to see more of. If you watch BYU( I’ll link the video below) it’s pure basketball porn with constant movement , wrinkles and read and react.Show it to me. Space and PNR, the thing all modern offenses are built upon. Ofc it’s not very complex and perhaps based on our offensive talent we should run one that is more play-based than principle-based but it’s certainly not nothing. We also do a good job finding mismatches and with our length I expect us to further attack these. In that clip we also see the team seamlessly transition from their offense against a man to an offense against a zone. I agree Pike isn’t flawless and that is an area of improvement for him, but I completely disagree that we do not run an offense.Show it to me. Yep; like I said it’s no ones fault ; sometimes players don’t mesh. If you read Carinos article on Seton hall Willard has said this has been a problem with them this year early on too. Sometimes the parts and kids games just don’t fit .Some players on the team didn’t mesh with Jacob. Easy to blame the guy who is gone. They also didn’t mesh with Eugene
Bad chemistry in 2018-19 with EugeneJY is gone...wish him the best.....I think the Coaches and some of the players are somewhat happy he's gone as well.....better locker room and team chemistry now.....albeit he was terrific player and made the play of the millenium at Minnesota.
This is 100% on the money and why I think the game is trending towards the NBA……and I hate itSpace and PNR, the thing all modern offenses are built upon. I didn't say anyone was trashing the team. Who really cares about these guys who left? They didn't want to here for whatever reason. It's a new age of college sports and people are going to transfer out and transfer in. So if you want to pine away on the guys who left go ahead.I don't see anyone trashing this year's team by looking at JYs game .
