OT. Karma works it's magic at Girl's LLWS

Adults are ruining youth sports. Sports should be teaching kids about always trying your best and dealing with the final result win or lose.

Between this and abject cheating like the team did in the Boy's division last year, you have to wonder who this is for, the kids or fulfilling some adults dream of glory????

Definitely good karma for the Central Iowa team - the president of the South Snohomish league is blowing smoke out his piehole.

teaching kids not to run up a score is one thing... but to have ur kids go out and NOT COMPETE is flat out embarrassing, and demeaning to the team, your opponent, and the sport itself!!

People worry about participation trophies watering down quality of competition for youth and diminishing the drive for success? I think the epidemic of win at all costs competitiveness is far more pervasive. It is way too common to see cheating, bad sportsmanship and general nastiness along with youth sports -especially if you get beyond your local rec league and you are playing against other towns, or if are a member of a regionally composed team.
