No screw job by refs this year. After a win over Camden earlier in the week, Squan defeated Madison 67-56 at Jersey Mikes to take the Grp 2 title.

Our neighbors son plays for Squan so that's great news especially in view of last years debacle.
My hometown Colts Neck cougars took home the group 3 title with a win over Ramapo
It was a Cinderella story as they were fairly pedestrian during the regular season and got bounced out by Squan by 30 in the shore conference tournament, but they somehow caught fire and went out to win the group 3 championship

The big from Plainfield just arrived this year from North Carolina. Thought somebody said his mom from the area.
Manasquan is a regional HS, getting students from Brielle, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Hghts, Sea Girt, Belmar, Lake Como, and Avon.
No idea where the players came from.
They recruited for years . It was discussed here last year after the Camden game .
Terribly officiated.....said by every fan whose team lost.
What happened last year was universally panned across the nation.
Thought Camden got railroaded both games. Only reason the first one was close to begin with. Seemed to me there was an agenda in both.
For the girls, yes. Been a thing for a while. But even the best ones legit lived in the sending district towns.
For the boys, only more recently. And that guy already transferred or actually moved.
Adams? Destiny's brother? He finished HS in Indiana. Long time believed a RU lean, he signed with UConn.
Nah, most in football and bball are loaded with out of district kids. Its truly a shame. Its ruined the purity of what HS sports are supposed to be. Which is me and my boys i grew up with vs you and your boys you grew up with
manasquan is so tough...one of the hardest playing teams i've seen this year.

Shame they weren't ranked in final nj.com top 20...they deserved it off that run.
Never happened in the area I grew up in. Maybe in south jersey but Ive never played against SJ teams
