OT: Minor news re: Conference Realignments

- Looks like Rice and UTEP will leave Conf USA and join MWC

- Wichita State making noise about wanting to move up. Wich St has no football so I would presume only viable conference candidates would be A-10 or AAC - whereby latter would be BB only and make BB have 12 schools - as FB currently has 12 - though Navy is FB only

- MWC Commish keeping lights open for BYU.....thus it may be an expensive utility bill...:)

Spoke to someone in the Big East. They said UCONN will end up back in the Big East for basketball. Only change would be if they got invited to a P5 conference which is highly doubtful.

Agreed. Uconn FB is a joke and loses huge money. The BE hoops tv deal is better than the combined AAC FB/BB contract. BE will only expand for Uconn which allow for home and homes with all teams. The vast majority of Uconn fans want back into the BE. I think that it happens within 3 seasons.

I think Wichita state will make a solid addition for the Atlantic 10.

I lose track of MWC, WAC and CUSA because these schools have shifted back and forth so much

UConn...Lol...why would the AAC allow them to play basketball in the Big East. I don't see that happening. They are the premier program in that league for basketball and the AAC could live without them in the rest of the sports if it came down to it. Maybe UConn should be banished to the MAC

UCONN can join the Big East for basketball and then cut their own mega TV deal with NBC for football. :)

There is no WAC anymore. At least for football. A bunch of schools no one has ever heard of for basketball.
