OT: New York Yankees 2024-2025 Off Season Thread

Little known? He was a 3rd round draft pick and is considered one of their top 20 prospects. They moved him quick last year going from A to High A to AAA in short amount of time. Also Oak has been spending money this off-season to more palatable levels just giving out their player a decent extension yesterday in Rooker. They'd laugh off the phone, they need cheap cost controlled possibly superstars more than cash.
He’s never played a day in the big leagues
and 3rd rounders aren’t exactly thought of as superstars after 2 months in the minor leagues
Owners, not the general manager …like money.
Anyway, my post was complimentary on what i think of the way the kid plays the game

No need to get nervous and jump at an infielder who really may not be what you need or want. If it's not there at the start of the season, you go with Cabrera or Peraza and then try to pick up replacements at the trade deadline. Yanks are pretty good at building a lot of the team during the winter and finishing it for the last two months in the summer.

I love the kid Source, I love the way he attacks the baseball on defense.
He’s going to be special.
He’s gonna win you games with his D

I will yield to your expertise. But the Yanks don't normally take a chance on an up-and-comer to immediate start in the majors. And the A's will probably want something the Yankees can't (or won't) provide.

The way things currently have played out, I think they are better off waiting until July to solve their infield situation.

No one said he's a superstar but within the game he's not little known and we all know an owner isn't stepping in to make a trade at that level. I was also highlighting how I like his game and think he's going to be a good one.

That’s debatable.
Aaron Boone hasn’t got a clue who he is
Yes you're right everyone in baseball doesn't know him. I also didn't say that. There are people in front offices that do know him. He's not getting traded to the yanks for cash as you suggested.

Make them an offer they can’t refuse 😊
I don’t want to watch Cabrera play regularly
