Upsetting but we have seen so many can’t miss Mets minor leaguers…….miss. I love Baez. More importantly he loves Lindor ( and vice versa). As long as we can sign him to a long contract to me this is. Is a No brainer.
Omg. How freakin stupid. I wouldn’t take Baez for free and they gave up a real prospect for him. Strikeouts up the wazoo. I was excited about Crow Armstrong. Is BVW back?

Baez = A walking KO waiting to happen. He missed little league instructions to make contact.

I’m happy with the deal but I still think we gave up too much comparatively speaking
If nothing else- not many inf's could field with that group...
The big if of the trade is if we sign Baez to a contract but it sounds like that has a good chance of happening. If he is at 2B with Lindor at SS for the nest 3-4 years, that would be ok by me. Even with his K's.

I wouldn't want Baez long term. Not going to age well. That would also mean goodbye to Conforto (the way he's hitting right now ok). Still have Cano at 2B on the books also.
Did the Mets do enough to hold off Philly and ATL? Are they serious contenders for the NL title?
Will compete for NL East title. Can be lucky in the playoffs and beat some teams but all 3 NL West teams are better and Brewers are close. Need everyone back healthy and hitting to have a chance at some upsets.

Mets 4-3 vs. Padres this year. Do you ever look at the bright side for the Mets and what they do?

Yes all the time. Can also be dissapointed with moves as well. I'm pretty fair to the team as a whole.
Happy with Baez but Mets front office underachieved. Braves also picked up reliever Rodriguez from Braves. Braves and Phillies both improved so did Mets - but Braves much more. Alderson and Scott did not impress.
The Cubs have traded so many players that their expected lineup tonight on Roto-Wire lists only 7 players.
