I’m done with this team! Between the stupidity of Rojas; the ineptitude of Lindor and Diaz - it’s impossible to watch. No need for Diaz in that situation and when he doesn’t have it - get his ass out of there. Dude has no heart or determination to win.
What I believe is of no consequence. All I am saying is that it ain't happening.

You know the saying "Looks like a line drive in the box score"? Well, this looks like a W in the standings.
If you have health issues, this is not the team to root for because they will put you in an early grave.

Answer this question: How can you be happy after a win like that?? Game should have ended 8-4. Diaz is hurt or so it appears
Interesting comment by Alonso. He mentioned about a new hitting approach coach. Guess it’s working. They scored 8 runs today. Never heard this type of coach but make him the hitting coach. !

It's a game of inches, or so I've been told.
Seriously though, this was indeed an ugly win. But that doesn't mean it's not a good win. All wins are good.

But now one has to ask:
- Why was Diaz pitching 2 nights in a row and in a non save situation?
- Why wasn’t Diaz pulled?
- Why wasn’t no one else warming up in bullpen?
- It worked but why wasn’t Loup brought in to pitch to Harper?’
Diaz may be hurt when he should not have been in game. Continued head scratching moves by a manager who is over his head in my humble opinion.
Given that there are no ties in baseball, SOMEBODY should be happy after every game, no?
If you like, you can check the Phillies thread to see if they're happy, but I doubt it.
I am no longer going to blame Diaz on some of these outings. He blows up if pushed to a 2 bd inning or in a non save situation. He has been pretty lights out in 1 inning save or tie game opportunities. Why would Rojas bring him into this game? F-INT stupid.
Lots of good in this game though. Come back win, some slumping hitters with big days. Peterson having another good outing and some of our RP still dominating.

I wouldn’t have had May pitch. I would have brought in anyone but Diaz. As Yes Rutgers said, when you pitch Diaz 2 days in a row or onto a 2nd inning or in a non save situation he is just not effective. Bad managing there - let alone a possible injury to Diaz.
Diaz is not hurt. He just sucks. We can't count on him. Need a more reliable closer.

Should have could have would have. A win is a win and something to celebrate. So is first place. So is seeing the offense waking up.
IMO, it's a loser mentality to pick apart a win and say they should have lost. Two different ways of looking at things.
Were mistakes made? Sure. They can be corrected.
