No way can The Clown Show pass The Varsity, can they? This late in the season to even be talking about it must have The Entitled pretty embarrassed. We're the Mutts, we celebrate sweeping The Varsity like it's a World Series win, yada, yada, yada, lmfao. We also play in the division that has won 2 of the last 3 World Series, and the league that's won 3 straight. LFGM!!!!!
The Yanks are struggling right now and have a lot of games left with Toronto, Tampa, Boston, and Baltimore..
It could get interesting.

what seemed like a runaway with league wins... now is a horse race, and METS just might catch Yankees with win totals by end of the year.
Crazy, and exciting baseball season so far !!!
I thought the Cult were going to win 130 games this year....so their Cult fans were saying earlier in the year.

I was at Mets game tonight and what is the deal with a handful of the cult coming to Mets games with their jerseys. There was a good game vs Cardinals to watch tonight with Montgomery pitching and some of their Cult feel it's better to come to a Mets game. I guess they're either yearning to break away from their cult or they truly just want to watch a better baseball team.....real weird if you ask me.....

Anyway onto us, I really hope we score for Degrom tomorrow and take 4 of 5 vs Braves.......I don't like the Braves nor did I care for Contreras' jog around the bases after he hit his meaningless homer in the 9th inning

For weeks Braves fans have been all over Mets twitter talking smack about how they were about to run down the Mets in the standings. But now that our Mets have been laying the smack down they're stumbling around trying to move the goalposts. Its either Mets fans are ecstatic because this is their World Series or you haven't won a World Series since 1986. I swear you would think the Braves have as many titles as all the well-known storied franchises in sports. But nope; since the Mets came into existence they have exactly the same number of titles as the Braves do. I truly hope we beat their ass 8-0 tomorrow.

Right now, while I do peak at the best records in MLB, I’m only concerned about us and honestly, the f-ing Dodgers. That team really doesn’t lose

want the win today for deGrom.

so far for the year- even though I think Eppler did not get the RP’s we needed at the deadline- he did keep all of our top prospects. He did sure up the DH spot which is no longer a hole in the lineup and the platoon seams to do something good each game.

And Naquin has also been a very pleasant addition.
As much as we all cringe with the C position- Nido has started to grow on me. If the rest of the lineup is performing- he has done some decent things of late.

and what can you say bad about Marte and Max. Bassitt and even Ottavino(most of the time)- Canha and Escobar ehh but both very professional

the real test will be this off season- deGrom, Diaz, Nimmo, Bassitt

but for year 1- I’m thinking Eppler gets a solid B+
Now, let’s keep winning. Score some runs for deGrom! LGM

Walker is a FA. Carrasco is on pace for the option I believe. Can't worry about that now.

Canha reverse splits are interesting. He hits RHP better than LHP. I wonder how they'll continue to play him and Naquin. Canha better OBP skills, Naquin more power.

2019 Nationals and 2016 Cubs won the World Series ranked 13th in home runs.
2015 Royals were 24th in home runs.

That was a real hustle play by Fried, and he banged his head hard doing it. Wins are even more satisfying when the other team is also leaving it all on the field and playing well. That attempted tag by d’Arnaud was incredible. I’m glad Fried’s OK.
Those two plays aside, Braves had 4 errors in the two games yesterday, which is out of character for them. Braves and Mets are near the top of MLB for fewest errors per game.

My brother mentioned that after the night game. He said the Braves played like the moment was too big for them. My brother says the Braves were the underdogs last year and played with a chip on their shoulder, so it was easier to win. This year, the bullseye on them they haven't responded the same as last year.

It still befuddles me how the Phillies were able to get Robertson for their 25th prospect. That’s the reliever we needed.

I think losing Freddie Freeman is a huge loss for Braves. Olsen is good but he ain’t no Freeman. Furthermore, Rosario has been hurt and I’m sure losing Albies has hurt them.

Braves are cocky, and perhaps they have earned the right to be so after winning the World Series. Acuna and Contreras are particularly cocky. But Acuna and the outfielders were taking a lot of heat from the Mets fans.

On the long ball and winning it all, the majority of teams that win the World Series do so with power. However, the little things matter, and as the Mets have shown in this series, small ball and little things can win games. Like Luis' bunt, Naquin's stolen base, Escobar's hustle to stretch a single into a double when Acuna was fielding the ball. Mets seem to want it more. Hopefully, we can finish them off today.

Very good point on cockiness of Acuna and Contreras. I was going to include that on my post above

These things may be true. I also think that the way that the Mets play—working the count relentlessly, making all the plays in the field and some you don’t expect, reading balls in the air and tagging or getting a jump to take the extra base, breaking up the DP, even squeezing and messing with you on appeal plays—puts pressure on the opponents and they make mistakes.

If this doesn’t say that the Cubs didn’t want to make things easier for the Mets for overpricing Robertson for a top prospect to then turn around and give him away to Philly for a A Ball pitcher with TJ, then 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Yeah- wonder if he thinks scoring runs makes a difference- Met's offense is slightly better than his Braves on runs scored per game.
And from day 1- I have been comparing this team to the 2015 Royals.

So in your mind we're still the Clown Show, The Mutts and The JV? Doesn't your day get just a little better when Yanks win and Mets lose? Same here, and when seeing the box scores and seeing Holmes pitch, I couldn't believe you were winning at the rate you were. In a short series, like any team, the stars have to be hot. Yankees have NO ACE, and you know it and they are quickly going to have to live with Chapman. Trivino is just a repackaged Holmes. You guys are in deep doo doo. If Judge walks we will see who becomes The JV, and spare me the 27, you got eight since the Mets came in existence. One in 1962, an expansion year and 5 during the steroid era. Uncle Stevie is going to make life as a Yankees fan miserable. At the very least, Uncle Hank will over spend for anyone you want, just because Uncle Stevie is always lurking around as a possible bidder, even if he has no interest.⚾🎺

It's a reason why I'm not fretting what the Mets got in trades. They did fine with what was reasonably available and offered at fair trades. So far, Vogelbach and Naquin have been fabulous additions. And Buck is managing them masterfully. Also less worried about the bullpen than others, once Megill is back. One game does not make the season, but May looked good. And despite giving up a run, Givens may settle in. It took Diaz a whole year to settle in. Mets do not have that luxury this year.

Again, it's still early, but loving that Soto is 3/14 since going to Padres. Bell has done well so far. It's early. Did I say it's early?

The play from LG- When a player gets KEith H talking about how smart they are in the field and make a play that has Keith also say he has never seen that before...

Speaking of Keith H - loved that Nido got that bunt down but it is a play that Keith would have made look like a routine out. lol

Not sure why you picked that post from Kbee to make this comment?

Pyschiatrist: "Here, Tico, take a look at this and tell me what you see."

[Psychiatrist hands Tico a picture of an ink blot.]

Tico: "This is a picture of the Cubs not making things easier for the Mets by overpricing Robertson for a top prospect and then turning around and giving him away the Phillies for an A Ball pitcher."

Psychiatrist: "Uh huh."

This looks personal to me since others are saying the same thing. Esp since I would’ve gotten a timeout if I was stalking and pestering people for having different opinions.

Get over yourself. Your opinion is not the only one that matter here.

Because he's always cutting down the Mets as most Amigos do. Figured I'd just remind him/them of plenty of past comments. Are we worried about hurt feelings all of a sudden? Fork them, that is all. 😁

because it was very similar. you gotta admit, this is the one time kbee was actually respectful and made a baseball comment. And was even throwing a slight shade on his own team.

But all good- let get this win today!
Agree, getting 4 out of 5 would be beyond anything I could have hoped for. Maybe because kbee is a beaten man and sees what we see, a very flawed team that was winning with smoke and mirrors and hardly instills confidence in any playoff short series? They got no ACE up their sleeve to open any Game #1 or a reliable closer. They got San Fran bound Judge, and not much else, but I get your point though, I should have peacefully enjoyed his respectful admission. 😁 🎺 ⚾

Could Kbees be the same dude from Sadexcuse who went by the screen name rrlbees? That guy was a hot mess and needed help once it became clear SU could no longer beat Rutgers. 🤣

Remember, The ACC calling was going to be the salvation for both Sadexcuse and BC programs and a windfall for all programs. LMFAO!!!!
