Yup. I hated to trade Holderman but I like Vogelbach a lot. Losing him makes getting a legit arm even more important. And your only lefty BP arm is Joely who is basically garbage.
Get the feeling we might have seen the last of Y. Lopez for this year. Buck can't be happy at all having to use Diaz after already losing Lugo and Ottavino for game 2. Lopez had one job. Mop up the floor, turn out the lights and lock the door on your way out. Have to hope that Max is really on tonight. Though I do think Diaz could be available in game 2 for a 2 or 3 out save.
Diaz threw 7 pitches, so he should be available for game two. He just can't throw more than one inning.

I know right. I'm sure Snitker and the Braves fans were not happy have to use their key bullpen guys after having an 8-0 lead last night. Nor should we be happy needing to use our closer with 3 outs to get and a 6 run lead. He should have been able to sit on a bench with sunglasses on, his feet up and spitting out sunflower seeds.
Earlier this year, Buck was asked if he would use a reliever in both ends of a DP. His response was "Not this early in the season." So we'll see. Or maybe we won't, maybe Max goes nine!
The pass ball in the 9th by McCann has to be blocked. He never put his body in front of it. He tried back handing it. I was catcher in HS and College, that's just plain lazy.
He threw maybe 8 pitches. He’ll pitch game 2 if needed.
I don’t get the knee on the ground. That is not an athletic position. Can’t move to his right to block anything.
Get the feeling runs could be tougher to come by in this one. Hoping for an Opti-Max performance. The Braves have bedeviled him at times in the past. But that's the past.
Good news is that even with 5 k’s- max could go 7 and be under 100 pitches - he is averaging about 14 pitches an inning so far
Lucky his hip hit ground first and he didn’t get full force of fall on his throwing shoulder
