Yup. I hated to trade Holderman but I like Vogelbach a lot. Losing him makes getting a legit arm even more important. And your only lefty BP arm is Joely who is basically garbage. The Mets somehow traded away a bullpen arm in Holderman. Don't get me wrong, I love Vogelbach, but it's criminal that the Mets somehow didn't get at least one reliever.
We cheer for the Mets and Rutgers. It's baked into our DNA.Golly. Just be freaking happy for once? See ya later.
Diaz threw 7 pitches, so he should be available for game two. He just can't throw more than one inning.Get the feeling we might have seen the last of Y. Lopez for this year. Buck can't be happy at all having to use Diaz after already losing Lugo and Ottavino for game 2. Lopez had one job. Mop up the floor, turn out the lights and lock the door on your way out. Have to hope that Max is really on tonight. Though I do think Diaz could be available in game 2 for a 2 or 3 out save.
Agreed. But…Get the feeling we might have seen the last of Y. Lopez for this year. Buck can't be happy at all having to use Diaz after already losing Lugo and Ottavino for game 2. Lopez had one job. As soon as he threw that pitch I said it’s over get him out. TerribleWalker may have hurt himself
Not pitching well
Said to wife …he’s only throwing junk cause he’s hurt , they are going to guess junk and crush one. Don’t take him out when it’s 5-0 take him out now
I know right. I'm sure Snitker and the Braves fans were not happy have to use their key bullpen guys after having an 8-0 lead last night. Nor should we be happy needing to use our closer with 3 outs to get and a 6 run lead. He should have been able to sit on a bench with sunglasses on, his feet up and spitting out sunflower seeds.Agreed. But…
You’re not allowed to make sense like you just did. You’re only allowed to cheer and be happy for the wins.
Earlier this year, Buck was asked if he would use a reliever in both ends of a DP. His response was "Not this early in the season." So we'll see. Or maybe we won't, maybe Max goes nine!Diaz threw 7 pitches, so he should be available for game two. He just can't throw more than one inning.
He threw maybe 8 pitches. He’ll pitch game 2 if needed.Way to waste Diaz in Game 1. Now he won’t be available for Game 2
I don’t get the knee on the ground. That is not an athletic position. Can’t move to his right to block anything. The pass ball in the 9th by McCann has to be blocked. He never put his body in front of it. He tried back handing it. I was catcher in HS and College, that's just plain lazy.
Good news is that even with 5 k’s- max could go 7 and be under 100 pitches - he is averaging about 14 pitches an inning so farEarlier this year, Buck was asked if he would use a reliever in both ends of a DP.
