As bad as Nido is, he needs to play every day. That’s unbelievable but true.
Sometimes you have to tip your cap. Nothing you can do about the Freeman hit and Lux is a tough out vs righties or lefties. Unlike some of our guys didnt try to do too much and just took the ball back up the middle. He's a lefty who is hitting over .280 against lefties. You're not 50 games over .500 without having a bunch of clutch guys.
Because both DH’s are so bad vs same side pitcher Pete can not get a full day off.

50 innings pitced and only 24 hits allowed. How do they keep coming up with these guys. Who is their pitching coach because the Dodgers have several guys who struggled at their last stop before they landed them.

The Baez trade never should have been made. We were not built for a playoff run last last despite the days in first mirage the team gave off. PCA would have brought back a bat or a quality arm this year when it matters.
The shame of it is...like him or not, Baez did exactly what he was brought in here to do...the problem is, the rest of the team tanked at the end.
It sucks to have lost PCA - but if the rest of our team performed, it would have been considered a pretty good rental.
The problem this year- for any player that could have been even close to a Baez level player- it would have cost us more than a kid like PCA
So- hopefully, we hang on...(and not as a negative, as we are playing well) and then get deep into the playoffs, if not the WS and then have Uncle Steve say F the Cohen tax in the off season

This may be a contrarian opinion, but I don't want Cohen to say F the tax. I don't want him to be the second coming of George Steinbrenner. I despised Steinbrenner and everything he stood for as being bad for the game. I still believe that, and will not be hypocritical.
I don't like that "measuring stick" cliche. We play 162 games, same as everyone else. When they are done, we take accurate measurements.
I was at a concert last night, and loosely following the game on a gamecast. There was an intermission, and checked in. Does the bitching ever stop about catcher not hitting--it's a water is wet post every single night. Alonso whiffed 3 times. The bullpen is not perfect. The Mets competed and came up short. The Braves lost to an inferior team. The Phillies have been slaughtered the last two games against the Diamondbacks. It's baseball.
