Question. I know that there is a time frame for when guys have to be on the roster and be eligible for the postseason roster. Is there an exception for guys who are currently on the IL? Like Tylor Megill for instance.

Cripes- Nimmo has really become a player...

deGrom- 5/230...
even if he only has 3 years in him- most dominate pitcher outside of Koufax/Pedro/Gibson for a 5-7 year period. if we can get 2-3 more- he won't have career numbers but most likely a Koufax legacy
guy goes 7 with 3 hits and 1 run and you almost feel like it wasnt a top game for him.

Great Great win tonight ! Hopefully Vientos is called up and provides some hitting. We need slumping bats to awaken !

It’s dumb to say Escobar shouldn’t be in lineup. You still haven’t said who would play 3rd.
Would so much rather see Canha 5th, McNeil 6, then Ruf and Escobar
Did you not pay attention? I still had Escobar at 3B and didnt even move him in the BO. I moved McNeil, Canha, Ruf - not sure why you keep bring up Escobar and 3B

Great win- enjoy it

You know how fans, media, etc. like to categorize certain guys as "winners"?

Well tonight the Mets brought up the ultimate winner in all of sports - Terrance Gore.

Check out this career stat line:
  • 102 games
  • 67 AB's
  • One RBI. ONE. As in the loneliest number that you'll ever do.
  • Annnnnd... THREE RINGS!!! 2015 KC, 2020 LA, 2021 ATL.

Seriously- could you only imagine in playoffs or WS and that is playing live...They would need extra engineering support in the stadium...
I was at Shea - game 7 vs cardinals in NLCS when Chavez made that catch. I was sitting upper deck and the stadium was actually shaking. No joke.

The basic rule is that anyone who is on the 40 man roster or on the 60 day IL as of 8/31 11:59 PM ET is eligible. So Megill is eligible. He does not require an exception (although an exception protocol does exist).

I am sure that is why the Mets promoted Gore today instead of tomorrow. They may want him on the postseason roster as a pinch runner and defensive replacement.
