No second guessing from me. I was correct at the time of the deal that it was a big mistake. Everyone could see the direction the team was headed last year and it was down.At the time the Baez trade was made, Mets were in first place by four games. He was a very productive Met as his .886 OPS will attest. This could have been remembered as the move that put the Mets over the top to a world championship. Only problem was that the rest of the team didn't cooperate.
