MSN did a survey of all 50 states and the location below won in NJ. I've never tried them but frankly if someone put as much effort into the quality of Wings as they do Pizza in NJ they'd have a gold mine.
The best I've ever had were at the Press Box on Dale Maybry in Tampa (by Kennedy). They didn't even win in Florida. Some place in St. Petersburg did and they must be lights out. (see link below)
Right now my winners are:
Longhorn Steak House (Rt 9 - Woodbridge) - I rate these a 7 so there must be better somewhere.
Bertuccis - Rt 35 Hazlet.

Not a fan of Quaker State - Greasy or Buffalo Wild Wings. I prefer them non-breaded, a good dry rub and having some actual chicken meat on them. Many are like paperclips with skin.

Winners of MSN vote:
NEW JERSEY
Peck Peck Korean Style Chicken, Teaneck
This mom & pop spot only has three sauces — soy garlic, sweet & spicy, and salt & pepper — but all three are loaded with flavor, so you'll never feel like you're missing out.

Any suggestions?

up North, Sharkys is considered one of the best, one of the locations being in Clifton....they run an ad saying they were chosen as the best in NJ, at some point

they do have lots of sauces, and you can combine them if wanted

Voted best Wings in Central New Jersey - 2016
We'd like to thank our valued customers for voting our wings BEST in Central New Jersey for 2016 AGAIN!!!!

If you like chicken wings, or even if you consider yourself a connoisseur, our wings are one for the bucket list. The Golden Lion's wings have been consistently voted the best wings in the area by the Home News Tribune and its readers. Each wing is hand-breaded with our home-made breading, then coated in our own Signature Buffalo wing Sauce. Wings are also available without breading upon request. From our Mild to Atomic Signature Buffalo sauces, or one of our 14 sauces and rubs, there's a flavor for everyone.

Choose from the following flavors. Mild, Medium, Hot, Atomic, BBQ, Honey BBQ, Kicken BBQ, Cajun,
Honey, Teriyaki, Old Bay, Garlic Parmesan, Mango Habanero, Sweet Red Chili & Sweet Wasabi.

Although not known for wings, The Committed Pig (Morristown, Summit, Manasquan) and Star Tavern (Orange) have awesome wings. Chicken and the Egg in Beach Haven has pretty good wings also.

I guess I'm not a wing connoisseur. I can really eat any wing and prefer boneless. BDubs for multiple flavors, Friday's Jack Daniels wings, all the same.

Burgers on the other hand, I'll be all over that thread.

Now you might say, enough already with burgers, but it is National Hamburger Month, so it's only natural to follow that up with the best burger in each of New Jersey's 21 counties. Almost all of the places are on this list are non-chains: bars, bistros, restaurants, diners, roadside hangouts. It's one burger fanatic's rating of the best; let the juicy debate begin.

Firkin Tavern in Ewing has great wings. Big, meaty wings and if you like your wings hot, the nuclear wings are fantastic. Not as hot as Cluck-U nuclear fusion wings were but still a great burn. Their sauces are all made in house from scratch.

I have to make my own Buffalo wings since so many places screw'em up. Real Buffalo wings are NEVER breaded, barbecued etc and they aren't baked. Luckily one of my roomies was a short order cook from Buffalo so I knew how to make them way back (not that they are hard at all)

This has been my goto place for awhile. Place is a dump, owned by An old Korean couple and they are always arguing with each other, it's like Sinefeld episode. I have eaten many wings in my life and these are some of best I have ever had. Once the yupis started going there with their with beamers, and taking selfish with the wings, I knew they were headed for the big time. Of course, a by product of this is that their prices have increased as well.

I was kind of partial to Shulas Steakhouse @ the doubletree in Newark when TD clubbed to go there

For those living near Monmouth County NJ, Jacks Goal Line Stand in Long Branch is, IMO, the standard for Wings.

When I visit NJ next month my order there will be well done grilled wings with medium hot garlic sauce w blue cheese dressing.

Could be one on the highlites of my visit, ha ! Santillos Pizza in Elizabeth is the other must stop place. It's usually the first stop after landing at EWR. Why not buy the best ?

In South Jersey there's Pic-A-Lilli Inn which serves PHENOMENAL meaty wings! Wednesday nights are also all-you-can-eat wings! They're in Shamong and Atlantic City.

Another Central Jersey place is Ryan's Pub and Sports Bar in Monroe Twp, where one of the chefs recently won a big wing competition.

Anybody ever stumble into Kennedy Fried Chicken for some wings? Not nominating it for best of NJ ... or New Brunswick, but they served up the full-on wing with tip, all sauced up, instead of the drummette and wing pieces. Not a bad change of pace on a drunken NB night.

Dude...boneless wings?!? You know a chicken always has bones in its wings, right? So what the hell's in 'em? It's ground up chicken heads and necks and butts. No thanks. Also why I stay away from nuggets. Want boneless? Get tenders.

I have been to both sharkys east in clifton and west in boonton, both are great and my favorite wings. Extra crispy just like I like them without even asking. Boonton is definitely better as far as the atmosphere is concerned.

Was just going to post Kennedy has amazing wings. Specifically the one next to shop rite in Perth Amboy. I always buy a tray for parties and people love them and ask where i got them. Not saucy just regular hot wings. Highly recommend over all these garbage wing chains people are naming.

I have never been to the Boonton Sharkys..... anyway the Clifton one
gets crowded early and you have to be lucky to find either a table or a place for two at the bar..... I don't like going into the back dining area because then there is no atmosphere at all ( makes it tough to
breathe)
