RU Baseball in Sugar Bowl Classic this weekend, today noon, & all weekend:

3-2 win on a walk off single in the bottom of the 9th by Tim Dezzi, who had three of the teams six hits. Pitching was good – – one earned run and only two walks allowed. Butler had scored 27 runs in their season opening series.

Butler is a solid Big East program. Good on Rutkowski to settle down after giving up some runs early. Obviously, SB is back in the pen with Murray going tomorrow.

I don’t really even know if you can say he had to “settle down.” He only allowed one earned run and never walked a single batter.

Write-up of the New Orleans loss. New Orleans beat Michigan State 2-of-3 earlier this season.

I'm just stating he was composed despite allowing a few runs in the first. Sometimes, those sort of things can spiral out of control quickly.
