Rumor that another NJ kid may be done at Michigan

You will have a great team to root for now that Mark Richt is the HC.When I moved down to that area 28 years ago I tried becoming a Cane Fan. We were in the Tank up here. Didn't work. RUTGERS FOR EVER.
I remember when I was being recruited by Rutgers, (97) I was hoping to catch a Miami game invite, but instead it was Va Tech and Syracuse. I was sad. Lol. Definitely looking forward to both rebuilds. Ash and Richt.

I'm in GA right now and believe it or not, they love Richt but are happy he's gone.

You graduated college in 2002 and are retiring in two years? Nice.

Rutgers fans on this forum remind me of the nice guy hoping (and praying) that the hot cheerleader will get some sense and dump the jock for him. Even Hollywood is not buying this script.

Follow Bruce Lee's famous advice: "Be a jock and cheerleaders will follow."

Name a few that transferred to RU and were impact players. Not graduate students or JUCO.

There is usually a good reason they didn't pan out where they went in the first place.

As far as premium content. It's all over the Internet FYI.

Yeah, you're new, so you probably don't get the joke. They're laughing because "cubuffsdoug" is one of them.

Gotcha. So are there any that transferred in and made a significant contribution?

Do you include grad transfers and stuff too in your analysis? Guys like RJ Dill and Andrew Turzilli did great for us and ended up in the NFL. Kiy Hester has been on the two deep since he got here. That's three guys in the last few years alone that have helped tremendously. If you're asking if any first team All-Americans have transferred here, I'd say probably not.

Judging Hester at Miami is dumb. Kid was there for less than two weeks.

He has been playing at RU since he arrived. To say he has been anything but a positive addition is even more stupid.

Dude bad way to start your posting career here:eek:. There are former players on this board.

I missed that he wanted transfers but not JUCO or Grad students. Which is a pretty dumb way to limit transfers to try to make a point.

So there aren't any? It's just a question.

Not All American but starters that transferred in and played a significant amount.

Shawn Seabrooks had a very nice career at safety for Rutgers early in the 2000s.

Antoine Moore (Ga Tech) led Rutgers in rushing in 1991

Bryan Fortay (Miami) broke the school record for TD passes in a season in 1992 and led them to a 7-4 record, including THAT WIN over Va Tech.

Shawn Seabrooks (Tennessee) was a three-year starter, two-time Defensive MVP and first-team All-Big East in 2002.

Kiy Hester (Miami again) played in ten games and started seven as a redshirt freshman last season.

And that is, of course, off the top of my head and discounting the JUCOs and graduate students.

Wow guys. There is absolutely no truth to this internet rumor.

1. He's on the team and likey to get reps Saturday vs Hawaii
2. he's practicing as of yesterday
3. he's enrolled at the school.

A PSU troll posted that because he wasn't included in the team picture he's done with the team. It's 100% false.

Rumor was started on the Main board by an OSU fan, Buchincali. NJ kids or not JH requires they go to class, be a good team mate and compete on the field. Not willing to do what is expected you are welcome to leave. Example is Mitchell. I hope it was an eye opener for him. If so Rutgers may have a great transfer. If not I don't think Ash will put up with too much crap either.

Doug Adkins led Rutgers in tackles in 1992.

Some great players there. Maybe by the next strawberry moon we can get another one.

Damn it, I knew there was a defensive guy from that team I forgot. Nice player.
.Doug posts on this and other RU sites and supports RU FB any way and every way he can.
Just don't ask him about the Colorado Buffalos [winking]
He has a soft spot for them:p

Might as well throw in Scott Vaughn (Clemson) started a few years on OL in 90's IIRC

Bumping this thread because Harbaugh confirmed KW is not dressing with the team right now and is being held to limited practice because of academic issues.

Just FYI. Appears there is smoke there.

Another frequent poster, RUQB17. Transferred from Tennessee. Started for a year at QB. I believe he may have played baseball too.

Very interesting. I heard the other freshman RB had begun to get more reps in practice the last two weeks than KW. That puts him 4th on the depth chart. Not surprised to hear "news" from Harbaugh which begins to paint a path out of AA.
