Basketball Rutgers Basketball holds off Saint Peter's with late defensive surge

Just burned again by an absolutely basic screen on the wing. No idea why Dekack is sagging 4 feet back from the screen. They are going to continue to make 3's if we don't guard them.

Don't disagree with anything you're saying. But we're now no longer in preseason, and we're ranked 24. Even if we weren't ranked, St. Peters is a low mid-major team and should not be bullying us on our own court.
Definitely shouldn’t be bullying our guys. Not at home or anywhere, That’s hopefully some youth showing.

That’s the downside of one and done players. They don’t get much time to develop composure against teams being very physical. A senior is obviously gonna be more prepared for that than a freshman.

Much more physical and aggressive coming out of the half. Message was obviously sent.

Ogbole better stint in 2nd half. Rim protection, rebounding, a dunk (finally), and a smart decision to not force up a shot and kick it out for an open 3
And all the haters are silent. There is nothing wrong with pointing out player mistakes but when that same player makes multiple good plays it should be acknowledged.

#15 and #35 getting away with hip checks on the high screen all game. SP should have like 30 fouls by now

anybody know what the scattered stars, throughout the state of New Jersey on the back of the warm-up T-shirts, represent? Thank you.

Through the first 6 minutes of the second half, SP has scored 6 points. Now, that is what I call defense. About time. But now we need to keep the pressure on and run away with this game.

Ogbole won the summer workouts belt right when they started practicing. He was very amped up and yelling "Who is gonna take this from me?" Apparently everyone.
You will probably feel dumb when you realize we've probably outscored St. Peters by 15 in the minutes Ogbole has played. Also, the clog the paint, don't pass out role has been taken by Somerville thus far, not EO who everyone thought would do it.
