The LB Position (hey, maybe I'm wrong)

Nothing wrong with the size of our LBers. What we need is for everyone to get better this week.

Didn't our #15 get burned for 2 pass TD's by the Wash. RB's?
I don't care how big they are, but cover !!!

Second TD was a great play call. Wheel route out of the backfield is very tough for a LB to cover. Some people call it a jerk route. That's why teams have tried to get LBs who faster and better in coverage. Still a pretty lethal play call in the right situation.

First one was a blown assignment. He locked on to the QB's eyes. Completely forgot about the RB who ran to the flat for an easy TD.

Aside from one blown tackle on a screen Morris was in the right position all night and usually with good coverage. A combination of a couple good throw and catches and not making that final play on the ball. Not too worried about him.

A 200 lb. is not going to cut in the B1G. ( if he is even that).
Ross -Douglas is fine on ST and some support in the Secondary.

What part about it being hybrid OLB/Safety do you keep missing?

Unless you are the 205 lb. at Michigan.

Also 225 lb MLB won't cut in the B1G, unless you are the 5'11, 225 Middle linebacker at Michigan.

AND WHAT DO YOU KEEP MISSING....Ross was the 4th String Slot Receiver at Michigan in 2014 before transferring. He is not a B1G LB or Whatever Hybrid.
Unreal.

So, what's your argument? Not a linebacker or not big enough for a B1G linebacker? Because, you just changed your argument !!

FINALLY, how did he perform when he was in that hybrid OLB/Safety spot vs. Washington? Missed tackles? Missed coverage ? Did Washington run right him to take advantage of him because he is only a 4th team slot receiver? FACTs only please when responding to these last series of questions.

How many other B1G teams does he start at ? Answer is zero. Probably not even on the 2 Deep.
Case closed.

Speed beats size. Nice to have both, but if you can only have one or the other, you take speed. Miami started it in the 80's and now it is even more of glaring need with the spread offenses that almost everyone runs some variation of. Your LB's need to be able run more than just plug holes The Penn St. style plodding hulk like lb's of the 80's are antiquated. There is no place in the game for them anymore.

Fogg will be a monster for us. Kid will put some size on once he has a year of D1 weight training and will still be fast.

Or just find another Lawrence Taylor.
