This year it's Rutgers in the middle of all sorts of controversial situations and has a depleted roster. Where all things pointed to a RU win last season, PSU now seems to have all the advantages over Rutgers this year. Time to pay back on the road what PSU was able to overcome on the road last year. Sure would be sweet after listening to how last year, with ALL their shortcomings, it would be the best chance Rutgers would EVER have of beating them.

Despite all our shortcomings today, I feel We win. I'm thinking 24-17, and don't be surprised to see Rettig play at some point and lead us to a win.

ESPN analysts all just picked PSU - all but one saying by at least 17 points. Prove them wrong! Go RU!

Of course. They think we are the football equivalent of the Andrea Doria. Just have to go out and prove them wrong.

Now this year it is us with the depleted roster... That may have been their last opportunity to beat us for a long time. :sunglasses:

Last year with a depleted roster they were able to beat Temple and RUTGERS. this year, with more people, they lost to one already and

Penn State's roster is still depleted, and it will take about 2 more years until they are back at full strength. They have their scholarships back but they are forced to play freshman and sophomores because they have so few experienced players, especially on the OL and linebacker spots.

yeah but I watched the PSU/UB game and boy they looked disorganised and confused......

way worse than last year IMO
I watched that game too and PSU is worse than last year imho. In essence they are last year's team with a depleted o- line. Hackenburg was awful, Buffalo threw at will and it was only 200+ yds rushing and what seemed like 20 Buffalo penalties that helped them win. Even depleted, RU is more than a match for them if our boys play a penalty free game.

BS, The offensive line is because of the coaching.
