I liked the old uni's better, but the red helmet is too plain. Much prefer the chrome, white or this years black out helmet.

The contract on the battle scar/knight uniforms was supposed to be up. Im assuming this was no coincidence. The red helmets were the new style shell, and there was metal flake in the red, which we never had before.

Scarlet version of this year's blackout helmet would be cool. Maybe a matte scarlet.

If I could choose any helmet design, I want this, with the entire helmet being the red chrome, and just a block R as the silver chrome.

I like any helmet that has a scarlet R not a white R. But the white helmet is my favorite.

Im not sure if I heard that the Nike contract was up..I think it was just that we had agreed to use those uniforms only through this year. I am sure I read it here though, so hopefully someone knows. I don't think I have ever discussed it with someone from the school.

I thought the same thing, that we were due for new uniforms in 2016. Is that wrong? We've had the same bloody uniforms for 4 seasons now. Long past time for a change.

But yet Alabama, Penn St, Michigan, and the whole lot still have the same uniform season after season. We should find something like that and stick with it instead of these ugly, arena football-looking things

I don't disagree with that. I feel that uniforms are like any other fashion. If you go trendy (as RU did with the battle theme), the style has a shorter shelf life and you need to keep refreshing (RU hasn't). If you go with a timeless classic it'll look good forever.

I think there were a lot of people in the program (coaches and players) over the last four years focusing on the wrong things.

Implementing trendy designs for the sake of appealing to players is weak. And our new manufacturer partner needs to follow the lead of the coach and AD. Clearly, the program needs an infusion of discipline. No nonsense. The unis should project this. And players need to focus on many things other than uni design.

Amen bro. Stick with one road and one home uniform. Seems to work ok for the Yankees and many other proud organizations. Traditional red at home and white on the road. No ugly black or "black outs". Let the fad loving Millennials moan and groan all they want.

I hate the current Unis. Return to a more traditional look, not necessarily the Schiano era unis. Black is a traditional RU color and could differentiate us from the other BIG red teams.
