RU roster lists him as a RS Freshman, wrestlestat lists him as a true freshman. Most FLWC do not take full time credits, so it is a grey shirt. I am not sure about Angelo, but I thought I read a RU press release that said he has 5 years to compete 4(so he would be a true Frosh this season).
The Rider match is going to be very close(prior to year did not think it would be).
I think we're going to incur some loses we weren't expecting. This last round showed we're ranked properly, not in the top #25.
It’s a really strange team honestly. I wouldn’t be surprised if they only got 2-3 guys in the national tournament. I also wouldn’t be overly surprised if 9 guys qualified. The only weight we have no shot at is 165.
It’s just inconsistent showings from a lot of guys which isn’t shocking considering how many freshman are in the lineup. You just don’t like the inconsistency from Grello, MVB, Pagano.
Not really a fair comment. The only WTF losses are from Angelo. Pagano lost to Beard who is a top guy who will AA. Grello lost to a very talented Foca. Foca will be an AA next year. MVB has actually wrestled better than expected and everyone else has basically held serve. If we had Janzer and Colucci in the tourney we might be winning the tournament. If Aguilar gets by a tough McGee, Alvarez advances and JoJo shows we’ll against Shoop then I think we have a lot to be happy about.
This team is way too inconsistent to make any firm predictions about how the rest of dual season will go. We could realistically beat anyone on our schedule aside from PSU but we could also lose almost all of them as well.
This is a young team that we knew would be up and down even with vets like Grello, Correnti and Pagano. Janzer and Chris C would clearly have done well here and with them out we were weakened
The inconsistencies from those 3 guys go well beyond today’s tournament. If we ever want to be a top program, we have to hold the upperclassmen/multi year starters to a higher standard.
Aguilar should be favored in his match. Alvarez should as well but a lot tighter.
Dellavecchia only beat Kanniard by a point in the Princeton Open this year and beat Glasgow by a point last year. I think MVB has a chance.

To be fair, Lipari entered the transfer Portal first week of the season and stopped practicing. He just started practicing a couple weeks ago. You can tell he has no gas tank.
I am rooting for Peter....as long as he is not wrestling RU Wrestlers.
Tuff loss, but that guy was blood round last year with losses to Mueller and Glory.....Aguilar has a chance to get a possible low AA...he is close.
Yeah, Aguilar has improved leaps in 1 season.

Man, if Janzer and Colucci were able to wrestle today, we would be threatening for a team title. Missed opportunities to build their resumes for the NCAAs as well.
Aragona battles Shoop but loses 6-5. No shame in that, Shoop is a bonafide AA at 141.
