With the continuing violations being found on North Carolina and the always entertaining coverups at Penn State,I find myself just shaking my head that kids and their parents are still attracted to them. I'm thinking borderline students figure North Carolina will take care of their school work, and the cult is just too big a draw to look past. Penn St has a long football history, but NC until all the cheating started in the last 15 years has always been a basketball school {cheaters} also,lol.

For Pen St, recruits see close to 100k fans in the stands.

UNC has an awesome campus and even though it's a hoops school their students and alums show lots of pride in their university.

When you build a brand, it lasts a loooong time. And UNC has not been penalized and will get a slap on the wrist except for WBB. Penn St will always recruit well in the Northeast. Half the NJ HS kids don't even know about Sandusky and Paterno only that it has a nice campus, nice town and rep for parties.

Dude the NCAA is a joke. Watch Baylor keep recruting well. The NCAA will slap them on the wrist when the investigation is done in 2020.

And recruits dont care if they have a 1 year ban and can't play in the Poinsetta bowl on December 26th.

Been to both schools to watch Rutgers play and that is when you realize why kids want to go there. Everything at both schools is 1st class to the 10th power for the student athlete. Penn state oh how I hate them but I was so impressed with their game day and stadium and football facilities. They had what it seemed 100 thousand RV's there and their tailgating makes our look so pathetic. At kickoff every seat was filled and at 100$ per seat those fans back that program 100%. That is not counting whatever seat donation they must pay for. Stadium was rocking and very very loud. If you were there that night you had to be impressed with the set up. Their facilities puts are crap to shame it's just pathetic what we have compared to them. How can our basketball team get players when our coach's have the rack to sell. How? UNC was a long time ago but it was just a buetiful place.

I was there and came away with this impression as well. We have a long way to go before we come close. The game was almost theatrical as well. Our stadium gets going but not like that. I thought it was louder than Death Valley. Also have to say that some PSU fans were just as belligerent to me as anything I saw when they visited us.
