Article "5 Things to consider as the Washington Huskies begin Fall camp". Some nice analysis of strengths and weaknesses.

Odd issue: Coach Petersen made a last-minute addition to the roster, adding an Oklahoma receiver dismissed by the Sooners following the 2014 season. Given the recent Petersen-Sam Ukwuachu-Art Briles mess, this roster addition could leave Petersen with egg on his face. Petersen plays to win. I doubt this type of roster addition would play in NJ with Rutgers.

So tell me, what's it like disgracing the B1G by winning the Fulmer Cup? Did it take mad skillz or what....

You can cut the crap about Washington players not being allowed to play on the RU roster due to bad behavior. Petersen faxed anything and everything he had on Ukwuachu to Briles. Petersen had no problem kicking an NFL 1st round draft pic off the team halfway through the season two years ago... Petersen's first season at Washington.

disgracing? Slow down Dawg. We've never had anything like that in this program before.

My bad, it must have been another Rutgers that won last year's Fulmer Cup. I'm pretty sure I read the OP and I'm pretty sure it said that Petersen is only in it for winning and that he just signed a player that wouldn't be allowed on Rutgers roster due to bad behavior in the past. Feel free to quote the parts of this post that I'm wrong about.

Your coming off as a petulant child, Dawg.
"I'm pretty sure I read the OP and I'm pretty sure it said that Petersen is only in it for winning." WRONG. Reread his post.

Irrelevant to what you perceive the OP to have said. In fact, you prove the opposite by bringing it up. All players were dismissed and will not be allowed back to RU, even the players whose charges were dismissed.

Cyler Miles says hello BTW.

Cyler Miles never played a down of football for coach Petersen and coach Petersen never colluded to fix players grades.

Where to begin .....
Your reading comprehension is terrible.

Cyler Miles' hip had more to do with him not playing than Coach Petersen's conscience. Miles appeared to have been involved in the same assault the kid who transferred to Mississippi (or Mississippi state). He apologized for his actions. But he was let back on the team.
I realize that I did mess up.”

Miles and Stringfellow were accused of assaulting a man during a celebration of the Seattle Seahawks’ victory over the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl (in a separate incident, Stringfellow also pleaded guilty to assaulting a female victim earlier that night and damaging her camera. Miles was also present). According to court documents, Miles and Stringfellow approached a man and his girlfriend walking in the 2300 block of N.E. 50th Street and one of the players asked if they were Seahawks fans.

After the man replied yes, Stringfellow and Miles chased him, and Stringfellow began punching the man in the face. According to charging documents, Miles was “backing Stringfellow and acting aggressively.” But neither the man nor his girlfriend could say for sure if Miles also struck him, so he avoided criminal charges.

"Petersen plays to win." VS. "Petersen is only in it for winning"
One of these things is not like the other.

Cyler Miles was cleared of all charges and again he never played a down of football for coach Petersen. Stringfellow was convicted of misdemeanor assault and kicked off the team. He ended up at Ole Miss the following season

You bloody serious? I know I'm west coast and your east coast but we both speak the same language.

Dawg, where to begin?
First, OP never said Petersen ONLY cared about winning. You interjected ONLY to created a bone to pick here.

Second, OP said "I doubt this type of roster addition would play in NJ with Rutgers." It would not, especially after last year, but probably would not have played even if last year did not happen. In the first place, Coach Ash would not make such an addition because he would not take a player who had disciplinary issues. Secondly, the press would skewer RU for doing so. So the OP stated something that is pretty much accepted here. But you took it as some unholy insult against UW and started hurling insults at RU. As NUTS said, we had a very bad year last year. But you know what? All of the bad actors were immediately dismissed from the team, and will not return. And the head coach was fired. Pretty big difference from other programs.

Back to Cyler Miles, it makes no difference that he did not play a down of football. He admitted he was involved in the Super Bowl incident, but he skated on charges because there was not enough evidence on him.

Finally, Marcus Peters is irrelevant to the Rutgers issues. Sounded like he and Petersen did not see eye to eye, and he was dismissed because he was disruptive.

Wow Dawg- you certainly spun to OP around.

I don't think it was meant as a hit on Peterson at all and yes, NJ would be all over Rutgers if they brought in a kid with noted problems.
