As a side note, I'm not sure there is a softer team in the big ten than Michigan after watching those highlights. If our team played like that, I'd worry they all had the flu
I RU keeps them in the 70s we can win this, its the pace in the 80s and 90s thats the issue. I think its all with defense, Iowa has a bad defense themselves so RU almost by default has to play a quicker pace to take advantage of it
Garza was huge earlier but Garza did not score the last 7 minutes,. I dont want Pike said in that timeout but it worked and Pike usually wins halftime

He wanted something to get after his guys at the half. Seriously doubt we can shoot that well 2h. So what do we need? Defense. What can refs take away from us? Defense.

That was a fun half of basketball . Even if the other team scored 38. Give me that with no fouls called every time instead of fouls every other possession. I love watching BASKETBALL not a free throw contest! Most boring part of the game. Let these two ranked teams put on a show
We have shown on occasion we can do this...just not consistently. That’s what I’m concerned with in the second half. If this team ever became more efficient offensively....wow.
I want Caleb shooting the technical FTs.
I would love RU to win this by 2 - those 2 being the free throws they make to start the 2cd half

Pretty much everybody was. Fran stayed on the court to argue and got teed up after a couple minutes of his tirade.

This team continues to grow right before our eyes. They have zero fear.
he is streaky but his looks have all been open. Harper also was really good and we did find Myles too, it was about a great a run offense as I have seen this year.
That T on their coach could be huge – hit 2 FTs to start and we’re up 7. But we know they can rain treys, so we can’t let our guard down on defense. They also go 8-9 deep, like we do, so I doubt getting tired will be an issue for either team. Also, can we keep shooting like this? I could easily see the 2nd half being a slower, more grind it out half, which would normally be to our advantage. Garza’s also killing us inside, but at least we’re not in foul trouble, especially Myles. Going to be a fun 2nd half.
