Shouldn't that be an NJ in there instead of an RU? I've said that while I'm not too enamored by the lack of experience on the staff, I do think this staff has as good and probably better chance to be successful on the recruiting front as any other we've had save maybe the time we had Hafley/Angelichio. Even if not NJ, I think they have a decent shot at and are willing to pull players from other parts of the country if necessary.

I agree on the let it go statement.BUT whatever the top in state recruits name may be J.G or Gary,Peppers,at some point RU needs to start landing some impact 'names' in state as the ripple effect it brings when other in state recruits notice and also jump on the bandwagon.If the name recruit pans out talent wise .. great,but even if he does nott,the impact in state recruiting wise is substantial.

Hey Chip, don't be so Chippy. Did a search for #FenceTheGarden, and it came up as a retweet, and thought it was interesting because it appears he wanted to be back "home." I could give two craps whether he comes to Rutgers or not. I prefer Russo. Cripes, some of should think 1000 times before posting anything because someone has a CHIP on their shoulder.

That's exactly it. All this kid does in win completions but doesn't win on the field. He was the 3rd string QB at the All American Game. He weighs 180lb and will get thrown down like a rag doll in the SEC.

He was horrible in the UA game although he was not given many snaps.

He was sacked twice, threw one out of bounds and had one run for a 2 yd pickup. He would drop back look at this first receiver and if he was not open he would start to scramble. Surprisingly with all his speed he got sacked twice.

In your scenario, Nova should have been a 5 star recruit. I mean he did win 2 national championships. The coaches need to project what they think a kid will be in 3 years. A lot of coaches think this kid will be special.

He hasn't signed so he is fair game. The perception he brings to other National and local recruits is that Rutgers is serious about football. He may be able to flip others already committed to other schools or influence some in the junior class.

IMO, it is different to bash a coach that has been on the job for several years if it is apparent they aren't going to get it done (or if they do stupid things that embarrass the school).

IMO, it is very unfair to continually bash a new coach who has not even been on the job for a month and hasn't even finished hiring his staff, let alone have a spring practice or a full season of play.

That is a ridiculous and petty thing to do, and clearly agenda driven (i.e., you probably wish the old coach was still had his job).

FYI. I've battled with Nuts on his excessive negativity and I did not bash Latviano at any point even though I wanted to see what Rettig could do.

None of this matters and has nothing to do with the unfair potshots you took at a new coach just because your agenda is that you wanted Schiano back.

Wrong. Winners win. At any level. You know what they are capable doing because they have done it. You won't find too many college QB's who didn't absolutely dominate at the school level.
