Good lord Iowa State...show up. UAB was a bad team in a bad conference, this isn't the UAB dangerous team of old. They should not be winning this game right now. I have ISU in the championship game so they better get their act together.

Northeastern hanging with Notre Dame but the Irish are keeping just enough cushion.

Iowa State is a fun team to watch. They will make a run and take care of UAB. I have Iowa State in Final 4.

They are very unselfish and at times overpass.

I have Iowa State in the championship game as well. Had them to the final four last year (stupid UConn). Really like their team and their coach.

ISU is being schooled by UAB right now....don't let people tell you its all just about talent. UAB is playing hard right now and with a purpose. ISU better wake up

meanwhile Northeastern has cut the defecit to 6 to Notre Dame..another great effort overacheiving

what a horrible decision by Grant there to jack up a 3 after running the shot clock down...why play passive when the game is on the line. Brey is not a very good tournament coach if past history is any indication, Irish almost always flame out early. He is playing not to lose rather than win....Northeastern now within 4

I have Notre Dame in my elite 8 but I am rooting for Northeastern now

and look at Georgia State back in the game after a slow start vs Baylor

Northeastern simply blew it there..given a golden opportunity after the inbound turnover...they did too much dribbling..cant do that...have to attack and take your shot. How many times do you see teams dribble way too much getting themselves into trouble instead of going into attack mode. What a shame

looks like Iowa State and UAB going down to the wire..nip/tuck affair all day long

Georgia State giving Baylor a run

great set of games to start

Almost seemed like none of them wanted to be the one that took the shot. It's obviously a team game, but that guy who turned the ball over twice in those final possessions is going to feel pretty $hitty for a while.

ISU self destructing..no ball movement and 1 guy hijacking things...opposite of what i saw starting the game. They are really pressing! Where are the guards to take control?

Maybe fatigue has set in from run in B 12 tourney.

wtf Iowa State on that possession...do they have a timeout...55-53 huge possession with over a minute and they get into so much trouble just like ND did...why not take a timeout and set a play up. Its amazing how poorly some of these teams do down the stretch when they play scared.

that was a big missed ft by UAB

Baylor only up 3 over Ga State at half

Oh wow just checked into the game . ISU on the ropes. That's one of my elite 8 teams, that would hurt losing them this early.

UAB up 1 with 14 seconds left....ISU ball....this would be an enormous upset. Good lord I have ISU playing Kentucky in the championship game...please win

UAB is the school that lost their football team right? It would be nice for them to win, even if I lose an elite 8 team.

Only 4 fouls at the end of the game. Refs must've let them play.

ISU had a great look at a 3 but they're done now. Nice win by UAB and I lose an elite 8 on the 2nd game haha.

awful...220PM and my bracket is busted!

Hoiberg is terrible. Niang single handedly ruined my bracket...kentucky ISU final???? I am a dope.

Iowa State goes down...what a poor performance by them after their Big 12 run. Give credit to UAB they cleaned up the boards and played harder. I thought Hoiberg coached a bad game, he needed timeouts at certain points

Moral of the story is you cannot let the other team dictate pace in first halves of these games. That's where the tone is set and where the weaker less talented team gains the confidence

oh well I guess I can sit back now and relax as I wont be winning any pools...going to root for every underdog in the world

I had ISU losing to SMU in the next round so this probably helps me. Really liked them last year with Kane, Ejim, and Niang but wasn't as impressed this year.

agree with you Hoiberg...specifically that one possession up 2 with the ball and just over a minute..thats the play you win the game on, he didn't call a timeout and his team fumbled the ball all over the place. They kept going to Niang who was abysmal..why why why, he wasn't getting it done and was missing every layup, you have to let someone else do it. How did ISU do so well in the Big 12, they looked like a very limited offensive team

meanwhile we keep hearing how its all about talent, UAB is not really more talented than RU starting the season 4-9 yet they made an unlikely run in the CUSA tourney and just beat a top 10 school in the tournament

look at who they played during 4-9 stretch, decent competition.

I watched the start of the game. Iowa state looked bigger, faster, longer, and better. They started up 12-2 and then turned it over 3 straight possessions.

I can join in the Iowa State destroyed my bracket as well. Also had them losing to Kentucky in the final.

This is what happens when teams let other teams dictate the game. What a waste of a year with Iowa St. All that down the shitter. I also had them the Elite 8 in the money pool. Other fun pools I had them exiting in the Sweet 16. Well that happened last year with #14 Mercer beating #3 Duke.

I had ISU out on Saturday to SMU..

So not terrible for me. big 12 so overrated, Baylor struggling vs Georgia state.

Baylor starting to get some separation...now up 10 with 5 minutes left

Texas down double digits already to Butler....very unimpressive day for the Big 12 thought to be the best in the country

same here.. I told my son last night Northeastern was gonna give ND trouble but lose in a close one. I really liked their game I saw in their tourney.

wow all of a sudden Georgia State has this down to just 3...and unlike Hoiberg, Drew calls timeout....HUGE possession here
